Fits good.
Works well. Didn't need it after all...but at least I won't have to worry about it for a while. My crank, but no start issue was a broken wire on the back of the eec relay which is located by the driver fender in the engine compartment. For those of you who are having issues.

Failed after first warm-up on 1990 Ford E-350 7.5L
Some history. My engine ran ok, but the idle wasn't very smooth and I could hear some pinging/knocking at full load. It always passed emissions, but by a slim margin and smelled rich at the time. I figured it's an old 12,000 class C and normal. The pinging was alarming because it's already difficult enough ascending steep mountain roads. I don't need to crack a piston. I ran a KOER test and got a code 18 "SAW" open failure. I had the original Motorcraft distributor with 75K miles and figured it was getting flakey, so I bought this new distributor. It looks well made and the engine started right up. I disconnected the SPOUT and did the 10 deg BTDC timing with no problems. As I was waiting for the engine to warm-up while idling, after about 15 minutes it abruptly stumbled and quit. I never got a chance to run the KOER test again. Despite several attempts to start the engine while warm, it would only stumble and quit. I installed the original distributor and confirmed the engine started fine. I ended up buying a new distributor elsewhere, installing it and got rid of my engine problems. No code 18, no pinging/knocking and runs about 15F degrees cooler. There's not much to the distributor. It's all mechanical with the exception of internal Hall Effect sensor. It's a semiconductor (prox sensor) that's used to sense the rotor position (basically a camshaft sensor). Evidently the device couldn't handle a 180F engine temperature and the failed to operate reliably.

Perfect
Installed in minutes and fired up my truck. Can’t beat the price. I’m very happy.

Good built unit
Right out of the box it is clear this is a well built distributor. I feel it is better than any from the normal local parts supplier's.
