Fluidmaster Plastic Flush Handle 683

This review is for the White "Fluidmaster Plastic Flush Handle 683" with Metal arm, used on our 22yr old Gerber USA toilet. The new Handle looks really nice and when installed, and it has a good, solid feel to it. I especially appreciate the metal arm inside the tank. (The last replacement I used was all plastic and broke in no time - different brand bought at local big box store). The thing that impressed me most about this Fluidmaster is that it looks upscale like the original handle that comes with a toilet. Also, when the elongated toilet seat lid is raised, there is about a 1cm space between the edge of the lid to the flush handle, so again, it is a really good fit - no contact with lid. I hope you find this helpful.(FYI - This arm is a universal fit, and the square BASE that fits through the square hole in the toilet tank has small plastic tabs / veins that can be easily trimmed away if need be, for a more solid fit - this was necessary in our situation, as the square tank hole was quite small. When all was finished, it looked and felt like the original handle, and not at all like an aftermarket replacement, and after all, that is what you want).

So there’s not much to it...a replacement handle, nice solid brass internal arm part, regular plastic handle for the visible part. The arm has multiple holes so you can position your flapper chain where needed. The arm is longer then I needed and I had to adjust where I hooked the chain on it to keep it from noisily hitting the toilet tank lid. So now my toilet flushes again and no banging of the arm. Does it’s job. Would buy again.

Solid built product at a fraction of the cost. An oil-rubbed bronze replacement for my Kohler toilet was going to be $75+. This looks good, works perfectly, was only about 15% of the cost, and was delivered quickly. It took me less than 5 minutes to install. I'd highly recommend this product.Update: 2 months later is squeaks loudly when flushing every time.Update: 3 months later the handle cracked and is no longer usable.

Didn't do the trick for me. The metal lever comes out at a very high angle and bonks the tank lid when you flush. I cut it down with a hacksaw, and now the flapper often doesn't fall back down after flushing. Gonna have to run to Lowes and get something better.

I bought three of these to upgrade from basic silver handles Fischer Homes had installed in our house. These were so easy to change out, in fact the only 'difficult' part was getting the old one off. Would buy again, handles now match our oil rubbed bronze sink fixtures, they look great!

I bought this tank lever to replace a plastic original which broke about three seconds after I first looked at it. I wanted something that was solid metal and would stand up to normal usage.When the lever arrived, it looked fine, and I gave it to the S.O. (Significant Other) to install in place of the broken handle, which had been held together with tape and looked terrible. He installed the arm in about five minutes (would have been faster, but he doesn't do directions), and then he broke the bad news:"You know that the handle is made of plastic, don't you?"Well no, I hadn't.. I thought that the entire assembly was made of metal. Since it had already been installed, I didn't return the arm to Amazon. It has held up for a month without problem, but it will have to last a whole lot longer before I consider it acceptable. It isn't a lousy product, it just isn't what I expected to get.

I have a awkward colored toilet and bathtub, some sort of dark almond, and I was trying to figure out some easy and affordable ways to improve the appearance of the room. This handle is quite nice looking, as far as toilet handles go, and was VERY easy to install. It has also made the toilet look much better.

Works perfect but when you lift the toilet seat it rests against the handle not the back of the toilet. It will not last because of this.

As advertised. Its a replacement toilet handle. Built well.

Can get the same piece at Homedepot cheaper.

Looks good, needed to bend the arm to fit, but easy to do.
