Just fine for a modest system
I got this to improve the sound of the stereo and speakers in my '78 VW Beetle convertible. I chose it because it offered an amplified subwoofer in a compact package, which would make for a simpler installation. The unit has a cast metal case, looks nice, and is very heavy. It was too large to mount under the Bug's front or rear seats, so I mounted it vertically on the inside of the rear firewall, behind the back of the rear seat. I have a very inexpensive head unit, made by Dual (My car is a convertible, so if someone is going to steal the stereo they are not going to get much!), and two good quality 6 1/2" speakers in the doors. The speakers produce nice sound quality, but they don't offer much in the way of bass. The Blaupunkt subwoofer now gives me nice bass while taking a lot of load off the speakers. My modest system sounds much better. It is not going to win any stereo output contests, but it is just fine for cruising around with the top down.

Great Value
I needed something to compliment the JVC KD series stereo and Pioneer TS series speakers I put into the stock positions of my 2001 Jeep Wrangler. This sub fit perfect under the backseat without interfering with its ability to fold up. Contrary to some reviews, it is a 10" slim sub, and has plenty of power. Installation was easy. The sound quality was fantastic offering great low to low-mid reinforcement. If you are looking for something shake the wheels of your car, this is not for you, but if you want a solid active sub with great tone and a little bit of shake, you will be very happy. For the price it definitely exceeded expectations. I would buy it again.

It's not plug and play: take 10 mins to fine tune it
I have to admit, when I got this thing and started removing it from the box, I was terrified that it was too big to fit my application, even after I had measured and re-measured.No worries! After some very minor modifications to the mount area, it fit like it was meant to. I admit that I used a pair of aircraft shears to trim the carpet and even remove a piece of plastic A/C duct.My vehicle, the 2007 Nissan Xterra, did not come with a factory sub, but they were all built with the same recess under the front passenger seat.**Basic Pro Tip: when you DYI a component such as a powered sub, take the time to ensure that all the settings match between the receiver and the sub or amp.It makes a MASSIVE difference if the settings between the components don't match. Take 10 mins and read about where to set the dials on the side of your amp or powered sub..there's a reason they still put tiny manual dials on the side. Also, most new head units give access to some sub settings, remotely through the receiverSound: Still breaking mine in, but so far the Blaupunkt GTHS131 10" sub 350 watts, adds a nice thick bottom to my music.**Will revise review after tuning and testing for a few weeks.Update: Just as I suspected, all it takes is making sure that you follow same basic proceedures that you would to tune an amplifier. My Blaupunkt 350 powered sub sounds great! As described by other users, it won't rattle the glass of an adjacent vehicle, but it is exactly what I was looking for to add bass to my sound system.

Sounds AMAZING in my Jeep Gladiator JT!
Is it going to shake the Jeep so your neighbor complains? No. But that's not what it's designed to do. Does it sound amazing? ABSOLUTELY YES. Stacks PERFECTLY behind the rear passenger seat against the backrest. Not too hard to install. Used an 8g wire kit. Be sure to sand down the paint for the ground wire! I used the two bolts that hold the rear box under the rear seat. Tune the amp adjustments to your settings. I'd recommend getting some bass blockers for the other speakers in the car. I have 150hz on my 6"s and 600Hz for my 3 1/2" dash speakers. It will allow you to turn up the volume even more without damaging the small speakers! Now I can really enjoy the music with the top and doors off! I don't know why I waited so long to do this ..You won't regret it!

Small yet powerful
Pros; Fits perfectly in the recess under the back seat of the extended cab 2500 HD. While you won't win a bass competiton it outputs sound to the degree that I hear things in the music that i've not heard before. If you crank it up, it is enough to get the attention of cars next to you at the stop light and probably wake the neighbors when you drive home late at night. Sound clarity, compact, price point, excellent and its Blaupunkt.Cons; Can't think of any!

Holy cow
This sub was was my 3rd sub I ordered off Amazon in a matter of 2 months first one was a jbl($269) and the other one was a alpine($432) both of which I was highly disappointed and returned them and was about to give up hope on finding a decent sub then I stumbled across this gem, this thing sounds better then both of the high dollar name brand ones I mentioned above for a fraction of the price. I was completely blown away by the quality of it and the bass it puts out definitely worth every penny !!

Great deal for a powered subwoofer
I had an 8” Sound Ordnance Powered Subwoofer for a several years changing it from vehicle to vehicle as I traded in one for another over the years. However with my current truck - a 2017 F250 crew cab, it wasn’t putting out enough bass for me to appreciate it. After a couple years of quiet bass, I pulled the trigger on this Blaupunkt subwoofer… Oh. My. Goodness! I should’ve bought this subwoofer a long time ago! It gives plenty of clean bass and it shakes my truck enough to bring a smile across my face. It’s not too loud where you’re shaking cars around you while being that annoying person at the stop light- however it is loud enough to give you that heavy bass sensation in your own vehicle. If you’re looking to add some strong bass to your vehicle, you’d be happy with this one in my opinion.
