Great for what they are.
I bought these after watching the Disney movie Up recently. I've always wanted a floating house, and at this price; my dreams could finally have come true!! After filling up 7,432 balloons, I started to attach them to the house, after drilling the foundations out. Sadly, they did not lift the house at al. I have since done ample research, and have now discovered that these are BUTANE, not helium. Not the sellers fault; these are perfect for, I guess, camping stoves or something lame like that, but do not buy if you want a floating house.

an effective item
This is a useful item, and is easy to store. I've used these gas cans on two different camping stoves (both Campingaz Camp Bistro Gas Stove - Blue and NEW PORTABLE DOUBLE GAS STOVE TWIN COOKER BBQ OUTDOOR CAMPING TWO BURNER STOVE ). The stoves are designed in such a way that the gas cans can be easily inserted and removed. To install, open the compartment on the stove - where the gas can goes. Remove the red cap from the gas can. The can will only fit if correctly positioned - and clips into place. At that point, you'll be able to ignite the stove. To remove the can, undo the clip - and then lift the can out. These cans can be removed at any time - even if there's still gas inside them. And you can later re-insert the can, to finish off the gas. When a can is not inserted into the stove, no gas will escape. One can - of 250g - typically lasts for about 70 to 90 minutes of cooking time (although it varies, depending on the power setting used on the stove). Put simply, to boil a kettle of water on the stove takes about 5 minutes - and you'll be able to do this about 15 to 18 times using 1 can. Or, if you cook a meal - taking about 15 minutes - then you'll be able to do this 5 or 6 times from 1 can of gas.I have seen these cans cheaper elsewhere (and have picked them up for £1 a piece). Nonetheless, spending about £6 is still reasonable.

Possible faulty batch?
Think we must have received a faulty batch. I received these and put a new canister in my camping gas stove (replacing the used one) about 20 minutes ago the gas canister exploded causing a fireball in my kitchen and destroying the gas stove. Luckily we had left the kitchen about 15 minutes before the explosion happened and there was only a little bit of fire thanks to us having left the windows open. It could've ended up being a lot worse. I've never had any problems with the gas canisters or the stove itself which leads me to believe we had a faulty batch.

Not the best value for money but space saving
People keep giving annoying answers on how long these last and being a little smart ass about "well it depends how much you use it", of course it does.....however.....took this camping in windy weather. Got about 1 hour on full blast with one canister. Boiled a couple of large pans of water and a kettle, it was really windy though which affects boiling time. They arent great value for money as you don't get loads out of them but they are really easy to use and very convenient and space saving. Took 5 canisters for a long weekend and only used 3.As ab update I went on another camping trip for three days with absolutely no wind. Boiled a kettle each morning. Cooked some bacon each morning. Boiled a couple of pans of water. Managed all this, I would estimate, on less than one and a half cartridges. I'll deffo use them again.

Buy the cheapest you can find
We bought these to use in a cheap no name stove we always take away camping with us. They arrive in a pack of 4, however based on previous experience we were fairly confident that 2 canisters would last us from Friday to Monday. There isn't too much to say about a gas canister. They seem good quality and worked perfectly in our stove. Weirdly the first canister ran out after 24 hours of light use, which had us a little worried. Thankfully the second one lasted the remaining three days, so we can only assume the first one wasn't full or some gas escaped somehow. Either way a relatively isolated incident. As all these canisters are the same we tend to buy from whenever has them on sale the cheapest, which in this case happened to be Amazon. If the price remains competitive we would buy again.

Genuine quality gas, heat capacity is spectacular
These things seem to last an eternity in the Camping Gaz Bistro stove. We used the little stove for about three months when our kitchen was removed, before our new kitchen went in and hob got connected. The heat the canisters generate is spectacular, easily enough for a stir fry in a large wok. We’re keeping the stove for future use. We only used four cannisters of gas in that whole time.

Buyer beware! Safety warning
I don’t know if these are official campingaz; says made in Korea. But take heed of the other reviewer who’s cartridge exploded. These cartridges are not safe because they have no CRV symbol. (Safety release valve)Without this safety release valve there is no valve for excess pressure to escape which results in an explosion if pressure builds up if cartridges get warm.Shame on amazon for selling these. I now can’t return as I had to open to check the cannisters.I live in a flat with nowhere safe to store these, these are a potential death trap. The other reviewer is very lucky they didn’t end up with third degree burns or worse. They should be suing amazon for selling a dangerous product.I’m now terrified to have these indoors.AVOID!!!

Noweedburn.
These canisters were thought to be fittable to garden weed burners, but no, so another set were ordered, again purporting to fit a weed burner--picture shown--but the fitting is different for the rod that I own, so now a rod is onorder from the same supplier as the canisters, hoping that all will be well. The now spare canisters will have to be usedon the browning device in the kitchen. Shall have to feed an Army!!!
