One of the best items that I've ever purchased on Amazon. Recommend!
First, I'm simply a customer, and not paid for this review.Needed something to help with hallux rigidus. Found that carbon fiber insoles might provide some relief.Just didn't want to break the bank, especially in the event that the insoles did not work.Since receiving these carbon fiber insoles, I've walked a full four rounds of golf, and been able to walk the treadmill at the gym an equal number of times. And the insoles worked...NO PAIN!I wear a mens 10-wide shoe, and these insoles fit like they were made for my shoes. Since using, I've experienced no pain, and the insoles are not uncomfortable to wear.As a note, I do have a pair of Asics running shoes that I've been wearing to the gym, and since the insoles in these shoes cannot be removed, the carbon fiber insoles can't be used with these shoes. But they have worked great with all of my New Balance shoes.I like the fact that this item comes with two carbon fiber insoles and are not as expensive as some of the other insoles that are available.I've got to say that these are a huge recommend!

they work
I need these in my shoes so my arthritic toes don't bend but come on, the cost is so high for just one insert which means you are spending over $100. for two shoe inserts!

Durable but tricky fit into sneaker
Measure before purchasing. Even with measuring fell between sizes and had a hard time fitting in shoe ended up using the smaller size. In a sneaker will likely need to remove shoe liner. Worked well and was stiff as expected once in shoe.

Ruined clothing - product sheds black powder with less than 6 months use
I've ordered these a couple of times to use in my shoes to address my hallux limitus (arthritic big toe). I'm throwing them away! I tried to transfer them to a different pair of shoes and in the process discovered that , in less than 6 months, they're deteriorating and producing a fine, black residue a bit like copier toner that ruined the golf shirt I was wearing...aka it doesn't wash out. Two other cons: coupled with orthotic insoles, the friction produces a loud "squeak" when I walk and they're too narrow for medium width (C) men's shoes. I've changed the rating to 3 stars, not for the product, but, assuming they're true to their word, for the customer service. In fairness to the Amazon merchant, they've offered to refund my purchase amount...hoping they don't expect the insoles back, because I threw them away.Changed the review back to 1 star when merchant reneged on the refund offer.

They do their job and last
They are rigid, and the have lasted the better part of a year so far with no signs of failure. I wear rigid orthotics on top of them and this has not been a problem. (It does place points of intense pressure on small areas due to the design of the orthotics.)

Good value
I choose this particular insert because it comes with 2. Some of the others that came up only came with 1. They’re nice and thin which is a plus because my doctor also has me wearing heal inserts as well. I’m running out of room in my shoe lol. Anyway. They are made out of carbon fiber. I haven’t worn them to work yet as of writing this review but let’s just assume they’ll hold up. If they break or something I’ll update this

They do work for my needs
These insert are HARD!!! But that's the point. I bought them to keep sharp rocks from constantly poking the bottom of my feet so they definitely do that well. I only gave them 4 stars due to them not conforming to the curve of the boots (no sole is completely flat like these inserts) and that causes them to push up slightly on the front of my foot and it causes the top of my foot to hit the steel toes. That being said they do hurt until you get used to them, it took me about a week for them to feel normal.
