Google Nexus 7 (2013) Drop Tech Black Gumdrop Cases Silicone Rugged Shock Absorbing Protective Dual Layer Cover Case

So far I've been very pleased with this case. I knew if I went with a lighter case at some point my tablet would likely find its way face down on hardwood with the flip cover not in a position to do any good.This case is built well and provides great protection from impacts for my Nexus 9. The construction is thick and grippy rubber, which I appreciate as it won't slip out of your hands.All buttons and ports are covered correctly and are respond as expected. Others complained (for the Nexus 10) that the buttons were wrong and pressed the power constantly. That has not been my experience with the case for the N9.It was easy to assemble though no instructions were in my box. I looked at the picture of the box and it was self explanatory. It is 2 pieces - a plastic frame with built in screen protector which snaps onto the outside of the tablet, and the thicker silicone rubber shell that covers the back of the tablet and has flexible rubber "tabs" that "snap" into the plastic frame and keep it secured and provide a seamless look.It comes assembled with foam padding in the middle that must be removed; you "pop" the rubber tabs out of the hard plastic case on the edges around the perimeter to separate the two pieces.Pros:+ Great protection. Should stand up to a lot of abuse and keep your tablet as good as new. The integrated (reportedly replaceable) screen protector is nice, and doesn't detract from the readability or responsiveness of the screen+ Good texture / form for gripping. Won't be sliding on any surfaces and is not slippery in the hand+The kickstand is designed very well. It is seriously the best I've used for any case on a phone or tablet . It has a nice notch out to pull it out, and has the middle section of the stand itself pull down between the stand and back of the case to keep it in place and sturdy. There's a good sized magnet on the stand and back of the case where they meet to hold it in place once collapsed. The description claims 60 degree and 21 degree tilt, which is true if you flip the tablet 180 degrees and have it auto- rotate, but it does not have two adjustable tilting angles.Cons:- Adds considerable weight and bulk to your tablet. If portability / thinness is the primary concern for your tablet, then this case is not for you. For me it was an acceptable trade off for the added piece of mind this case brings- The large raised lip around the perimeter makes it a little harder to touch the very edges of the screen (like for pulling down the notification area), but I've used cases for phones that were worse.- As others have mentioned, the grip of the rubber means it won't slide easily in a tight spot, and the crevasses do collect dust.- It is more expensive than most cases, and certainly isn't cheap. But it protects better than most others I've seen, is constructed very well, and has a great kickstand if you want one.Overall I'm happy with my purchase and would strongly recommend it to others, as long as you can deal with the added weight it brings.

I was initially dubious of this case first, because of the cost and secondly, because of the built in screen protector. After using for a couple weeks I can say that this case works quite well and seems to offer the durable protection I desired for my nexus 7. Essentially this case is comprised of two parts. There is a plastic frame with attached screen protector, apparently replaceable, and a silicone rubber case. The frame snaps onto the device and the rubber case wraps the back and sides and locks into the frame with little tabs around the perimeter of the screen. I was concerned that the touch screen sensitivity would be diminished because the screen protector plastic is attached to the frame and not stuck to the screen like most screen protection films. I was also worried that the screen protector might bubble for the same reason. These concerns, so far, have been unfounded. The responsiveness has not been affected and my device seems quite safe. Overall this is a very nice case that seems to provide more than adequate protection from abuse and the elements. That being said, it is on the pricey side. I would venture to suggest that a price in the $30 to $35 range would be more in line because the cost of a bobj case and a zagg screen protector is less than $22 with shipping.

I don't write reviews often. In fact, I think this may the second or third product review I've written since I've been an amazon customer. But considering how happy I am with this purchase I had to say something.I had been looking for a case for my N7 for over a month. I wanted an impact resistant case that was rugged and had a built in screen protector not named Otterbox. I have nothing against Otterbox products as I've owned a few in the past, but I just find them overpriced these days. For roughly 15 or so dollars less than the Defender, this case does everything I need to.PROS:- Very durable, well constructed- Was concerned the power button would be a pain to get but it's not. In fact, the button design they implemented IMPROVED the feel off the N7's original button (which is quite poor) Volume buttons are well done too.- Screen protector is excellent and doesn't affect the screen's sensitivity whatsoever. Doesn't seem to smudge as easily as the glass but we'll see.- The rear design actually feels good in your hands despite it's rather odd appearance.- Covers for mini usb port and earphone jack are a nice touch, not flimsyCONS:- Weight: I wouldn't exactly call this a con but it is for some so I put it here. It does add some weight to that device but it's not too much to make it unpleasant. Feels sturdier.- Case is a bit of a pain to take off. Can't think of a reason I would want to take it off though.All in all I'm very pleased with this purchase. So much in fact, I keep picking up my tablet just to look at the damn thing. It's not exactly cheap by regular case standards, but I don't consider anything "regular" about this case. As I stated before it's well constructed and I'm sure it will stand the test of time without a problem. I highly recommend it!

ネクサス１０を数年前に購入して今までは革製の使わないときは液晶部分が隠せるようになるカバーを使用していましたが、その後FIre、ipad、ipad miniなどほかの機種では液晶部分がそのままの形のカバーの方が自分は使いやすいと思い、今回、今更感はあったのですが、ネクサス１０でこのタイプのカバーを探していました。全体はラバーな感じで液晶部分も薄い透明のプラスチックが1枚あって完全にカバーできるので安心！ただし、カバーに本体を入れたら問題がありました・・・。ラバーの部分がきついのかスタートボタンと音量ボタンがきつすぎて常に押されている状態になり、勝手に電源が入ったり切れたり、音量が勝手に最大になったりしてしまいました。しょうがないのでカバーの内側からこの当たっている部分を少しだけカッターで削って微調整しました。これで問題なく使用できています！今ではd-マガジンなど雑誌の閲覧用に快適に使用しています！

Bought this case to protect the Nexus 7 which I had purchased for my kids. The youngest being about 12 months, that tablet has been thrown and slammed countless times and lived to tell the tale, thanks to this case!The case looks like someone cut a piece out of a tire and wrapped it around a tablet. The grip is excellent, and it cleans very easily. It is chunky, but that is to increase the shock absorption. It wraps around the bezel to protect the screen as well.A bonus that I did not appreciate when I ordered it, is that, it comes with a built in screen protector. This accumulates all sorts of grime that would otherwise get into all the nooks and crannies of the tablet, and wipes off without much effort. I used a stick on screen protector film for another tablet that my older children use and it has not fared as well.Another smart aspect to the design, is how access to the micro USB port and headphone jack are contained by easy to open rubber flaps, so no dirt or grit gets into them. The power and volume buttons are covered but this does not impair their responsiveness. Also, there are vents where the speakers are, so the sound is not muffled. Very impressive!I cannot say how many times I thought for sure the tablet was broken, in developing an unwavering faith in this case to protect it from the constant abuse (often taking the brunt of a toddler temper tantrum).This case is expensive, but it has saved me from having to buy a replacement tablet for over two years now, so I do not regret purchasing it at all.I cannot recommend these Gumdrop cases enough, if you are looking to protect a tablet being used by young children who will inevitably drop it or worse.

I can now trow my tablet everywhere!

Excellent quality and well built. Very good fit. As others have stated the on / off button had to be trimmed because it puts too much pressure on the button.....not a big deal. Very happy with this case and I would recommend it to protect your tablet.
