I do like the unit but not in "aw" over it.
I bought two for my Samsung S9 Plus phones. Each phone had a relatively small case installed. One charger worked and the other did not. I returned the unit using Amazon's process and it went well. The new one I ordered arrived quickly and it worked fine. The unit mounts to a dash easily, but it did lose suction once and I had to reseat it. The unit doesn't seem overly robust, however it seems to hold the phones securely when driving and going over rough roads. It does not charge as fast as my home wireless charger or the direct connect cable in the car, but, at least it charges. If you're draining the battery with applications like Maps, it may not be able to keep up, however, I am not sure about that. It sure makes life easy.

Lots of mounting options.
I am mildly obsessed with my new iPhone X and wireless charging, but needed a new mount for the car. I use Waze to commute, so I need a mount that had pretty flexible mounting options. This one came with both a vent mount adaptor and a suction cup mount. The arm extends outward so I was able to position it right where I needed. With the extension, I was able to get my phone close enough to unlock it with Face ID without needing to lean forward. The suction cup has a gel type pad on it which really sticks! You can see from my photo I have the mount attached at an angle and the suction cup has still been holding perfectly. The charging works great even though my case and it puts out enough power to keep my battery topped up even while streaming music and using navigation while I drive. Very happy with this mount.

Doesn't work. Straight piece of garbage.
The charging cable arrived with the protected rubber tubing stripped at the head; exposing the wires. Everything was still connected, so I tried using it. On the rare occasions it kind of worked, if you're actually using your phone for anything (navigation, music, phone call) it struggles to keep up the charge. Most of the time, this thing wouldn't charge at all and after just over one month, it stopped working even that small part of the time. Tried using a different cable to provide power, but that didn't make any difference.I should have returned it the first week, but now I missed the return window and am stuck with a ~$25 piece of garbage.

At first I loved this charger
At first I loved this charger, great mounting options and it charged perfectly. A month later, it now SAYS it is charging but does not actually charge - the battery level stays where it is even if on there for hours. So disappointing. Also the vent mount blocks most air coming out of that vent when the phone is on there.

It's mehhhh
I got this product about a week ago and put it in my van so I could go hands free. My Moto Mod phone will barely fit in the holder. When my phone was cradled, it kept flashing it detected the charger and then the charger would disappear. Come to find out the plug was bent. Luckily, it is the same cord as my Alexa so I have been using that cord instead. I have a curved dashboard. The cradle had to be suctioned onto the windshield, which makes the microphone too far away. In order for anyone to hear me when I am driving, I have to yell at the phone. I am going to try repositioning it tomorrow and see if I can get the mic closer to me without it obscuring my view driving. I will update if things get better.

Almost too good to be true...but then...
Got it. Set it up and it worked fantastically. Then it quit. The air-vent holding system works pretty well. I am very impressed by the phone holding set-up. It is very secure and easy to both put phone in and take it out. However, after just a couple weeks it quit working. I thought maybe the cord but when I plugged it into the phone it charged just fine. Different cord same issue. If i wiggle it around sometimes the charger will start working for a few seconds. This was kept in only 1 car not moved or plugged and unplugged so wear and tear should not have been an issue.

Doesn't actually charge an iPhone 8 Plus
Although when putting my phone in the cradle, the phone inidicates the charging icon, and the battery icon shows green, the battery percentage decreases the entire time it is plugged in - faster than without the "charging" cradle. I'm not sure why this is advertised as compatible with an iPhone 8 Plus when it clearly doesn't have enough juice to charge one. I've changed the 12v adapter, and checked with my other wireless chargers around the house, which all successfully charge the phone. This cradle, however, is the only device that doesn't actually charge the phone.

Just get a regular holder and plug up the phone the old fashioned way
Yeah, it works, more or less. I think in order to fully charge a dead phone, you'd have to drive cross-country. From my experience, it mainly keeps your phone from draining any farther. The problem is so much energy is spent simply on energizing the coil (and operating the electronics in the unit) that not much is transferred to the phone. It's MUCH better to just get a plain ol' holder and use the usual charging cord. I just wound up tossing this one- it was worth a shot. I learned.
