ELEGOO Upgraded ABS-Like Resin 3.0, 405nm UV-Curing 3D Printer Resin with Higher Precision and lower Shrinkage, Enhanced Strength and Toughness Photopolymer Resin for LCD Printer Grey 2KG

I purchased this resin for making 3d prints on my phrozen mega 8k I normally used siratech resin but it’s getting rather expensive so wanted to try something a little cheaper. The quality of the resin is amazing it is solid and gives perfect quality prints and with little shrinkage. Will definitely be using it as my new go to resin

I’m relatively new to using a 3D printer and so far have only used standard grey, transparent and white resins both from Elegoo and a couple of other brands. So I knew Elegoo resin was decent quality and had experience with using it.This upgraded ABS like resin printed really well on my Mars 2 pro and is defiantly much less brittle than the standard grey resin. I make quite a few fine detailed miniatures and the extra robustness is a real bonus, I can now design some finer details that I would have thickened up previously as I was wary of breakages.I’ve only done a few test pieces with this resin but have found it takes the air-brush paints I use well and so far no breakages of finer details.

(See correction at end)Initial comment"I found the ABS like V3.0 to be nowhere near as good as the V2.0It's runnier which should be a good thing and it fixes with a lot less exposure time. This should be a good thing but it's so fast and sets so firmly I struggled optimising. It also made it a nightmare to remove supports, as well as this, it also has a tendency to stick to the FEP. Basically I couldn't get on with it."Correction to this, the supplier sent a replacement bottle and I had none of the issues previously expressed, it's actually pretty good, it only needs about 2.5s exposure time and once cured is a lot more solid. If you have issues, contact the supplier they are incredibly helpful! I don't want to remove my initial comment encase people experience similar problems. I would give 5* but because of the problems I have to stick to 4*

A large bottle of resin. A must-have for people with an Elegoo printer. Easy to use and create smoother prints.

Normally I get the 1 litre bottles of resin, but by ordering double the quantity I am able to save a few bucks.This is awesome resin. I use a Voxelab Proxima 6 printer. It's an older resin printer with an old screen, however this resin seems to work great with it! I like that it is "ABS like" for the added strength, and the fact it is grey is perfect because I use grey primer before airbrushing my prints, so there is not the need to hide the resin's pigment.Elegoo has become a trusted name for me in my hobbies which include 3D printing and Electronics projects.I think for this selection of colours, this 2 litre bottle of Elegoo resin at this price point is perfect for any 3D printer, beginner or pro.I have a few dead pixels on my screen, yet I was still able to print a few solid prints with this resin. Once you have the recommended settings dialed-in, you wont be disappointed!

I’m pretty new to resin 3D printing so it’s great to have such a large volume of great quality resin to make up for all my mistakes as I learn the craft. The price is also quite good in the 2000g version verses what I normally pay for 1000g of resin.It also comes in a box with foam cushions below and above the bottle to help keep it stable.The grey is also quite good alone in showing off details before painting so I’m quite happy with this resin.
