Great colors, handles well.

Working with this yarn is like a dream! I’m currently finishing up a top with it and plan on purchasing hanks for future projects. You will have to wind it yourself. If you don’t have a yarn winder look up some videos of people using their knees to hold it and winding up a ball by hand. I did it that way for years. This yarn is worth the extra step! Value is consistent with superwash merino especially hand dyed. I received the bougainvillea color and it is so lovely. It is a solid shade with some light variegation that adds a wonderful depth to the project. Superwash is wonderful yarn to use for projects that will be treasured for years.

I am well aware that colors can be different on various monitors, but the colorway I received is no where near the one pictured. What I received was very muddled, dull and had little to none of the colors pictured in the offering. Extremely disappointing as what was pictured was gorgeous. Returning the three skeins I bought and will not purchase from this brand again. (Yarn in packaging is what I received, other photo is from seller's posting here.)UPDATE: Full disclosure-I traded this yarn with a knitter friend who had some hand-dyed that closely matched the colors as pictured here. Since they gave me more skeins than I had purchased initially, I did buy more of this yarn and gave it to them.

Merino wool is my favorite wool to work with and I will say this yarn is premium quality. The color is absolutely vivid (I got “midnight forest”), and there are slight variations in the color which is typical for hand dyed yarns. I love the heather effect they create. The yarn is evenly spun. I got about 15 wraps per inch (wpi) so this is definitely a DK weight, but on the thinner side (almost a sport weight). The manufacturer recommends a US needle of 3 to 5, but personally I would lean towards the US size 3 knitting needle.Some of the key features of Merino wool is its softness, slight elasticity, and breath-ability which is why it feels so wonderful on the skin. This yarn is absolutely soft as a cloud. I’m trying to decide what it will become. I’m thinking it may want to be a pair of lace fingerless gloves which will allow me to continue to enjoy its softness on my skin. At 240 yards per skein, I’m hopeful one skein will do it.The price of Merino wool is typically higher than other wools. The price of this skein is a fair price for the market and quality when compared to other similar Merino wools. Gorgeous yarn. Five stars.

This is a very nice yarn. Beautifully dyed. Soft; well plied. It will knit up beautifully. I don’t need to try it to know that as I’m a very experienced knitter who has worked in a yarn mill.It is pricey. But reasonable, as I would compare it to Malabrigo yarn and other similar kettle dyed yarns. It’s the same price. Though not quite a soft as Malabrigo though it’s certainly smooth enough. This is the kind of yarn even wool haters can tolerate.I will say that I wouldn’t buy yarn like this from Amazon if I were purchasing more than one skein unless the price was lower. I want to see yarns like this in person as generally each individual skein may vary considerably and I’d want to hand pick them in person.But if you don’t have good local yarn stores and would like some high quality yarn, go ahead!A skein of this would make a nice gift for a knitter friend. There’s enough to make a hat or gloves with one skein. I will knit up some fingerless gloves with my skein.I would have liked to see two of the same color way to see if they do indeed vary a lot, but I’m not detracting any stars. This is a very nice yarn.

Use this yarn for a project and it will be work of art! First off, this yarn color is bold and eye catching. The softness of this yarn is simply amazing. I've only had time to knit up a small swatch to try out the feel of this yarn, but it glided over my knitting needles and was a pleasure to use. I am trying to decide on a small project to knit up every yard of this beautiful yarn and it will definitely be something that I make for myself. This yarn is truly a treat to use for a special knitted or crocheted project.

This yarn is beautiful! I ordered Valentine which is a deep maroon with slight variations in color. The yarn is soft and squishy and the color is very rich. I think is is going to make a beautiful hat or scarf (haven't decided yet). There are 60 colors, so it was hard to choose just one!
