Rutland Products 16510 10-Inch Square Chimney Cleaning Brush, 1/4" NPT Threading, For Clay Flues

We decided to go ahead & clean our own chimney. We took our measurements & off to the store we went. Only to realize that there were no store in our BIG area that carried a 10" brush ... Amazon had it! The product was exactly as described & did a beautiful job! Would buy again, but it'll probably last a very long time.

My husband actually used this brush. He researched the product for awhile and felt for the price, this was heavy duty, sized well and just what was needed to clean our chimney. After using it, he still feels it was a great buy. It's a chimney brush.......

have always been of the best quality and deserve great reviews. This product is no exception. Tight fitting brush with very stiff bristles. Bristles spring back into action use after use. The chimney tiles in mine have rounded corners and this brush cut the crud right out of them. Excellent product

Very good product, happy with results

Bought this after checking around to see what people charge for chimney cleaning. The company service reviews were not the greatest and the price was exorbitant! We knew we'd be able to do a better job ourselves so we got this brush with a rod kit. Had a pile of soot about 6 inches deep in the fireplace when we were done! Scary! We'll be cleaning the chimney every fall from now on.

10.5" across, not 10 as the box advertised. The extra half inch caused me some pains, so spent time trimming it down and it still ended up being wonky enough to keep getting stuck and kilting over my chimney inside. No stores down here sell chimney brushes so I'll have to keep trimming.

It needs to be larger for the best fit. It works but took a lot more brushing and pushing to the sides. If the dimension was .5"-.75" more it would have been proper fit for the advertised size. If I had let go it would have dropped straight down to stove easily on its own weight with only one rod attached. I measured again and my flue is 10" exact on inside dimension. The brushes touched but did not fully clean. I had to turn it a quarter turn every time and then all the soot was removed. If it had been denser build up even more work.

Bought this and trimmed the bristles to fit my oddball size chimney. Took me awhile to cut them all but now I’ve got a great fitting chimney sweep brush. Can’t believe how must ash and soot this thing was able to get out. I put a ring on the rod side and used the two rope method. Money well spent.

The 10 inch square brush was perfect for my terra cotta flue tile chimney which inside measured 9 3/4 inches square. I purchased two 1" 10 ft. pvc electrical conduit tubes from Home Depot for $6. each, and made a plastic insert for the end on my lathe which I tapped with a 1/4 NPT thread, and glued it in. It worked perfectly.

Used the Rutland 10 inch square metal chimney brush this week to clean my chimney. It worked great and removed a lot of creosote. Very happy with this purchase!
