This little circle got me out of trouble when I discovered my water feature was teaming with Mosquito larvae. Within 24 hours of using them the larvae were dead and they have kept the water feature larvae free all summer. They are easy to use and depending on the size of your pond or water feature and therefore how much you need to use, they are pretty good value for money. Wash your hands straight after handling if you don’t wear gloves as they are highly toxic and don’t breathe in the spores.

I have a water feature approx 4m x 1m and about 150mm deep. Midge larvae appeared out of nowhere and they were everywhere happily bobbing about. Put one of these dunks in and with 36hrs they were dead. Given how quickly one dunk worked i would think a half would be more that sufficient, so one pack would easily cover 12 months +. Spring, Summer being worse of course and may need to up the dose. Nice to find a product that actually works and exceeds expectations. Highly recommended.

These actually work! They stop mosquitos being able to lay/hatch larva. So you still get a few but for us after a week or so it was notably less. I put half a dunk in a bucket of water with half an apple/pear and some grass cuttings. Apparently they are attracted to the carbon dioxide from the rotting fruit/vegetation. I would recommend!

As i suffer badly from mosquito bites i buy these most years as they make a huge difference to mosquitos around the garden...and thus coming in the house when we open windows. They are also safe to use around other animals thus we can keep the good stuff and get rid of the mozzies.

Fantastic product. I had a huge mosquito problem with my pond being very close to my house and my bedroom looking out onto it. I put one of these in the pond and within a few days the problem stopped. No issues with my fish and didn’t effect the water quality.

Why did you choose this product over others?: These did work but be careful. I set up a little barrel pond only the mosquitoes loved it. There were lots of larvae in the water along with other wildlife. . I put in a small bit of this product and it killed everything. The water was clear initially but then I realised everything was dead and the water went dirty and smelled bad within a few days. I am now trying to restore the water balance and attract back some wildlife. I only used a bit of the dunk but I think it was too powerful for my little pond.

This stuff works. I have just installed a patio pond - tiny but important. Within a week we had large numbers of mosquito larva, wriggling away enjoying themselves. I needed something to control them but that doesn't harm other creatures - especially the birds which drink from the pond. Applied as directed, I only needed a 1/4 of a tablet and let it float on the surface. Within 24 hrs all larva gone, but beetles in the pond and plants seem okay, the birds continue to drink from the pond without any apparent issues. I just now need to remember to put 1/4 tablet in the pond once a month. I don't understand the reviews that say it takes time as larva can grow into adults within 4 days so it needs to work fast. I will be buying again.

Had no idea that when I got my first mini pond that mosquito larvae would show up. Was annoyed to spend £22 quid and not see a cheaper brand, but a quarter of 1 dunk killed off the larvae. Better safe than sorry and it will last a long time.

I really like using these ponds around the house because it keeps the mosquitoes away. If you have small ponds big ponds, it doesn't matter. You probably only need just one of the tablets. And it will protect your ponds from mosquitoes in noseumps for up to thirty days

We had so many mosquitos in our back yard but no longer! This works really well to keep them from laying eggs in standing water.

Have used this product for years. It does a good job of limiting the mosquito population. It's not 100%, but prevents the majority of the larva from developing into mosquitoes.

In NC humidity, rainfall& and those damn bugs are a CHALLENGE!!! The product is as advertised. If you put it in the water area you don’t want mosquitoes, go for it!
