Northumbrian Sphagnum Moss, Approx 1.5kg Bag

I brought this moss as I wanted a sustainably harvested moss that didn't have the air miles associated with it (as the New Zealand mosses do).It is a sizeable bag of moss for the money, and with a decent proportion of living moss in it. It does contain some pine debris as other reviewers have noted (it was harvested in a pine forest - what do you expect?), so maybe unsuitable for some reptiles/inverts as substrate. However, I'm using it for carnivorous plant growth media, which it is perfect for.Very happy so far, and would buy again if it became available again...

This sphagnum moss is absolutely fantastic, excellent quality, only a tiny small amount of brown patches.... This can't be helped in any live sphagnum moss packages, overall all this is excellent quality, excellent price, and I will definitely buy again.... Very happy

Did the job but only managed to cover 1.5 hanging baskets. For cheaper form the garden centre.

Handy sized bag of very good quality moss. More than enough to replace the moss in my two hanging baskets. Very quick delivery.

I use sphagnum moss to grow various carnivorous plants in. This moss was healthy with only around 25% looking dead. However, potted up with my sarracenias, the moss is growing really well. Added bonus is the moss must have had British native Sundew seeds amongst it, as I’ve now got them growing too. Great product, and one that I can recommend

Arrived very wet in the bag and super fresh. Could have been cut that morning.However, I then left it in the bag (didn't open it) for 6 months, and not only did it stay fresh the entire time, but some fantastic little toadstools started growing in it too.It's been great for my orchids (now I've gotten round to using it) and I'd definitely buy again.

A bit redder than the picture but plenty in the bag to use.
