Grolsch Gaskets Silicone Seals - For Swing Top Bottles - 50 Pack

I make a lot of water kefir and really depend on having tight-fitting lids with good seals. Once my kefir starts to lose the carbonation then I know that I need new seals. I purchased 2 different types. The first ones were much more expensive and looked like little hats. These were much more economical and were shaped like donuts. I thought that I would test them to see if one worked any better than the other. I kind of expected the more expensive ones to work better but I was wrong. These worked just as well and the carbonation is back to where it should be. I will purchase these again over the more expensive kind as they worked every bit as well for me.

These are excellent! Thickness is probably slightly greater than your old seal, but your wire closure has relaxed over time so when you use these seals, you are back to a nice tight closure. When storing carbonated drinks with these types of closures, I alway store the bottle upside down or it's side to keep the CO2 from escaping.

They are the right size to fit on any flip top bottle I used and I have about ten different ones. The seal feels rather stiff and "plasticky" but seals oil, vinegar and water perfectly fine.

These caps are thicker than standard Grolsch Gaskets Seals and did not serve their intended purpose. They did fit on one brand of bottle I had so were not a complete waste. Just beware they are too think for standard bottles.

Does what you need them to do. feels better than the rubber grommets that normally come /w grolsch bottles.

I brew and bottle home brew beer and use Grolsch swing-top bottle to carbonate my beers. At first, these seemed like they would work quite well for this purpose. However, after letting the bottles carbonate and sit for a few weeks to months, I was left with flat beer in 90% of the bottle that I used these seals on. Where as the seals that came with the Grolsch bottles were perfectly carbonated and fresh. These are way too hard/firm to create a solid seal. Trust me, DO NOT BUY THESE for bottling purposes.

I use these as strap locks for my electric guitar, and amazingly they're even better for the job than the knock-offs that Fender makes specifically for this unintended use case for Grolsch gaskets. No idea how good these are for beer bottling, but I would highly recommend these for guitarists who are looking for a cheap, non-invasive strap lock solution (to be honest even the fancy Dunlop system you have to screw into your guitar kinda sucks in comparison to these).

Better than other gaskets I have used in the past. Easier to put on yet a good solid fit.
