This is for grinding protection and works great for that. The dark lens allows you to see what you are grinding since the grinding sparks are bright. It protects your face. It is not strong enough to use without safety glasses. It simply protects sparks from reaching any part of your face. Safety glasses alone can allow sparks around them and into your eyes. This prevents that. I and my son both have prescription safety glasses and the glasses fit under the mask comfortably. It is not a replacement for safety glasses. It is not a filter to filter out poisonous gasses. It is designed to wear over safety glasses and protect your face and eyes from sparks. It does that flawlessly.

This thing only looks cool in the picture. At no point in my life would I use this to protect my face from anything other than being seen. It doesn’t fit. The filters are useless. Also useless because it doesn’t seal at all. The goggles are a Very cheap Pair that may shield some dust from your eyes. I would not want anything but dust to hit them. And Like other reviews that I ignored, the filter/splash part, clips on poorly and the tabs break. there is a gap in the seal between filter and goggles that if anything splashed on it, say acid, you would be asked for the rest of your life in an Andre the giant voice “why you wearing a mask? Did you get burned with acid or something like that.” And then revert back to my previous statement the mask will only protect your face from being seen. Hardly worth the money to use even to scare my kids now and then.

Built for comfort, slightly big but worth every penny. I wore it two days after it arrived and it paid itself off because I had chemical splash on me that day if it wasn’t for the face shield I probably would’ve of had to take a trip to the ER since my eyes were open inside the mask when it splashed the shield.

Good for value , I used it to power wash pool filters prevented alot of gunk from going into my mouth beard and eyes .

Does not completely filter. Key factor when purchased.

This item has a great feel to it and keeps debris out of my eyes It also looks cool when wearing it while I'm cutting the grass.

was not at all what i expected, had no filter at all

This item was packed by the manufacturer in such a way that the bottom half was pressed into the lens and since there is movement during shipping, the inside of the lens was scratched by it. This looks like the way the packing is done normally so beware.. oh, and it isn't scratch resistant!
