Straps are Difficult to Fasten- "MacGyvered" Them
Does the job it was designed to do. Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the straps that arrived with the cradles were stiff and difficult to attach/fasten. Fortunately, I had ordered extra straps for my Softride bike rack and was able to use those with the cradles.

Solves the problem
I've had a Softride bike rack for years and overall I like the product and it's ability to swing down out of the way of the tail gate. The one issue I've had with the rack from the very begining is the wind catching the bikes and having them "sail" behind the car. Not a big issue if it is only one bike, but when you have several on the rack they rub against each other.I have tried all manner of bungee cord, bike lock cables, etc to keep the bikes from moving too much. I had come up with a workable system but it was kind of a pain. Then by chance one day I saw an ad for Softride racks and noted the anti-sway feature on some of their higher end racks. Thought I would give it a try - wow - wish I would have bought these years ago. Cradles were easy to install - just snap in place. Immediately solved my my problems with the bikes moving in the wind as I drove.Pros:Stops bikes from moving back and forth on rack - elminating damageEasy to InstallInexpensiveCons:Would be difficult to use with unussual frame styles. Can make getting the bikes on and off the racks a bit clunky (esp. if it is a small frame)Straps are far too long - however I would rather have them too long than too short.

Don't know how to use this
This is one of those products that didn't come with any instructions. I can't figure out how to use it (perhaps it doesn't work with my bike rack).

works like it should
Not much to say. It arrived in great condition. snaps onto the softride bike carrier and holds the bike securely and keeps it from swaying. Does what it was designed to do.

Necessary addition
Works great if used right. Beware the person that doesn't understand how to use it. I loaned the rack out and when it came back these additions were used 3 different ways for 3 different bikes. Extra bungy cords were used because it was not attached to the bike properly. Just remember it is supposed to keep your front tire from twisting and the bike from rocking back and forth when braking and accelerating. It is not to lock the bike down to the arm above at a different point.

Works as intended
For now it is working awesome, however i can forsee the band drying out months from now and cracking/tearing. I would still recommend though.

Easy to install. Works like a charm
Installed this on the rack (which is awesome BTW) and it definitely helps stabilize the bike at highway speeds. Totally worth it.
