SEKKISEI Herbal UV Defense Gel for Face Broad Spectrum Sunscreen, SPF40, 1 Ounce

Great sunscreen for under makeup. I weear this religiously and can't go back to my old sunscreen for my face. It doesn't have that strong chemical smell, just a light scent. I have been making my husband use it when we are going to be out running errands and he likes it as well. My husband and I have oily faces and doesn't make us feel greasy after.

I am not usually a fan of sunscreens. They usually have way too much white tint and not to mention burning sensation! This one comes out of the tube in a clear gel. It’s not oily and it is very lightweight. It’s clear so obviously there’s also no white tint.

Sunscreen comes in a small tube with a pump. It spread on easily and had a nice gel texture that felt refreshing when applied. I liked how lightweight the sunscreen is and that it does not give any white cast. It feels comfortable worn alone and under makeup. I would have liked to have had a bit higher spf but this sunscreen still provides good protection.

Goof

I’m very picky about sunscreen. I don’t want to see it, feel it, or smell it. I wear a serum and a moisturizer so I don’t want it to function in that way. Also don’t want it to compete with my perfume. It shouldn’t leave a white cast. It should just provide uv protection. Period. This sunscreen fits the bill. It’s similar in feel to my other favorite, Supergoop. If you’re unsure, take the plunge.

I like this very much; however, it's very expensive for such a small tube of sunscreen.

Too watery so if you pump, waste a lot. Doesn't work well with eye makeup.

I’ve always loved the Japanese Sekkisei skin care products. This sunscreen is no exception. It is moisturizing, smells wonderful, easy to apply, and provides great protection. I will definitely repeat!!!
