I have used multiple tools in the past, sometimes one after the other, with limited luck. This is exactly what I needed - simple install, and works every time!

It was easy to install and makes my life easier to open jars with my arthritis.

I bought it for my 84 years old mother who suffered from arthritis. Her hands are really deformed, she's in great pain and has difficulties to even open a water bottle. At first, she was reticent (she doesn't do good at all with change, lol!). After a demonstration, she was mesmerized! She had that 8 year old look at Christmas! It took her a couple of minutes to understand that she has to turn it clockwise instead of counter-clockwise (because the holding « blades » are on the right), but after the « learning curve », everything went fine! The only downside (not a default from the design, mind you), is that she lacks the strength in her arms to hold the big glass jars long enough, she has to ask help from other residents where she lives.I'll probably end up with one myself, for when my girlfriend ask me to open those nearly impossible sticky lids, just to preserve my « male pride »... Lol!Overall, a perfectly designed sturdy tool that works like a charm, something that is hard to find, nowadays, as we are sadly invaded with Chinese crap that doesn't last (when it works properly) and ends up in the garbage.

Love it. Lids that used to frustrate me no longer do. This contraption works like a charm. Love it. Easy install. Really no directions needed. I would easily recommend this to anyone.
