Cafe Joe USA Espresso Capsules, LUCCA Italian Blend, Nespresso Original Compatible Pods, 10-Count Sleeves (60 Capsules)

Like many reviewers of various makers of these pods, it seems they all tend to have pods with tops that have blown.I ordered this sampler and had 28 pods that had tops that were loose, and allowed the coffee to spill out. Many others wereJust on but had lost their seal. I immediately complained and Cafe Joe said they would send more pods to me, and blamed theAmazon warehouse for the issue. That was 2 weeks ago, and I’ve yet to see the replacement pods. Sorry but don’t lie to me Cafe Joe, if you say your going to replace the pods then do so AND it’s your product that isn’t up to par. Don’t blame big baddie Amazon. They just distribute your pods. If your product can’t “handle” Amazon’s treatment of your product then DON’T SELL THROUGH AMAZON.

Update: I've since tried the variety pack and I have to say all the flavors taste great! I's very flavorful and is awesome quality. It's super easy to use in my Nespresso machine. I'd highly recommend this to Nespresso owners. It's a great alternative to other more expensive brands.I’m not a huge fan of the Nespresso branded flavors, so I wanted to try something different that worked with my machine. This one by U Joe hit the spot! It says that it’s a darker/stronger flavor, which I was a little worried about, but to my taste it seemed a bit lighter than i expected. For me that was the perfect flavor.I liked that it came in 6 packs of 10 capsules each. It makes it great for brining some to work and keeping some at home, without having to bring a whole large box. These worked great with my machine and I had no issues. Overall I’d definitely recommend these to Nespresso owners. They make a great change of pace from the normal flavors and in my opinion were a bit better.

I did research online about what were the best Nespresso-Compatible Pods out there. I love Nespresso lungo style coffee but it is expensive and I was looking for well-reviewed alternatives. I turns out that Cafe Joe USA Espresso Capsules were rated very high in reviews. Promising good flavored-coffee and delicious crema.In spite of its name, the Cafe Joe USA pods come from Israel. The pods are made of plastic, and the shape looks a little bit odd but they are compatible with the Nespresso Pixie machines.The crema is indeed there. Extra points. BUT, the problem is the flavor. With a original Nespresso lungo pod I can even do two shots and the coffee is still strong and delicious. With Cafe Joe USA you can only do one lungo shot and the flavor is ok but not something you would crave every morning. If you do two shots, you get water flavored with coffee. I am look forward to finishing my 50 Cafe Joe USA pods ASAP to go back to to the original Nespresso lungo pods.

I'm about 12 pods into my Sampler Pack - started with Joe. Then moved to Cuba. Then Extra Strong. The coffee flavor was fine in all 3, but the foil top of the pods consistently rips, leading to a lot of wasted espresso (see photos) - the cup with the crema is what came out, the cup on the right is what ended up in the tray. I've tried a few other alternate brands (Bestpresso, Peets) but have never seen this consistent quality problem before. DO NOT recommend - it's not much of a bargain if you are only getting half of the espresso you should be.

There's actually nothing short of AMAZING!The quality of the coffee is great, high intensity of flavors, amazing froth and taste is on point.I have tried various 3rd party capsules but none compare to Cafe Joe, great customer service, fast shipping and amazing quality! They have gained a customer for life. Bye bye overpriced Nespresso pods, hello Joe!

I purchased this product November 7th and wanted to try all the coffees before I reviewed them. I was especially concerned about the bad reviews about the capsules themselves. I had tried another brand in which the capsule did not perforate consistently and the experience was very frustrating. I was intrigued by the seller's comment to a previous review that noted the original Nespresso capsule patent had expired and they were now able to make a comparable capsule with aluminum. What I discovered is that the 3 coffees: Columbia, Cuba and Costa Rica have aluminium tops and bottoms. The rest of the variety pack had aluminum tops but not bottoms. I noticed today that Amazon has sold out of this variety pack and will be getting a new shipment soon. Perhaps the new shipment will have aluminium in both the top and bottom. Anyway, I found the double aluminum to work great. Most of the time, the aluminum top with the plastic bottom worked as well. If memory serves me correctly, I did have one capsule where the plastic bottom did not perforate. None of the capsules arrived with spilled coffee grounds from loose tops. All arrived intact in their individual tube boxes, like the original Nespresso capsules.I like strong tasting coffee, so my tastes gravitate to the ones noted above and the Joe, ExStrong and UltraStrong. I find them to have a rich flavor with a luxurious crema. I will purchase the Cuba or/and Costa Rica again because of the capsule construction, but I'm sure in time all of their capsules will have aluminium on the top and bottom.I have not figured out how to recycle the used capsules as yet. My city recycling has a minimum limit of 3" lids and no medicine vials. Their concern is that small items clog up their machinery gears. I would guess that these capsules would be a problem as well. Also, I'm sure the aluminum would have to be removed, the used coffee grounds recycled in compost and the plastic shell itself would be the only recyclable material. I have no problem with doing that separation. I would appreciate any ideas someone might have about how to recycle the used capsules shells.I found these capsules to be good value and will purchase again. I have a Nespresso Essenza Mini Original Espresso Machine by Breville.

Great coffee but costly

Wish I could have enjoyed this Nespresso compatible coffee. All the pods expired October 2019, I ordered and received the pods November 2019.Stale, lack of crema, could not enjoy at all. I’m going back to Delicitaly brand of pods.
