I purchased this product November 7th and wanted to try all the coffees before I reviewed them. I was especially concerned about the bad reviews about the capsules themselves. I had tried another brand in which the capsule did not perforate consistently and the experience was very frustrating. I was intrigued by the seller's comment to a previous review that noted the original Nespresso capsule patent had expired and they were now able to make a comparable capsule with aluminum. What I discovered is that the 3 coffees: Columbia, Cuba and Costa Rica have aluminium tops and bottoms. The rest of the variety pack had aluminum tops but not bottoms. I noticed today that Amazon has sold out of this variety pack and will be getting a new shipment soon. Perhaps the new shipment will have aluminium in both the top and bottom. Anyway, I found the double aluminum to work great. Most of the time, the aluminum top with the plastic bottom worked as well. If memory serves me correctly, I did have one capsule where the plastic bottom did not perforate. None of the capsules arrived with spilled coffee grounds from loose tops. All arrived intact in their individual tube boxes, like the original Nespresso capsules.I like strong tasting coffee, so my tastes gravitate to the ones noted above and the Joe, ExStrong and UltraStrong. I find them to have a rich flavor with a luxurious crema. I will purchase the Cuba or/and Costa Rica again because of the capsule construction, but I'm sure in time all of their capsules will have aluminium on the top and bottom.I have not figured out how to recycle the used capsules as yet. My city recycling has a minimum limit of 3" lids and no medicine vials. Their concern is that small items clog up their machinery gears. I would guess that these capsules would be a problem as well. Also, I'm sure the aluminum would have to be removed, the used coffee grounds recycled in compost and the plastic shell itself would be the only recyclable material. I have no problem with doing that separation. I would appreciate any ideas someone might have about how to recycle the used capsules shells.I found these capsules to be good value and will purchase again. I must confess first that I’m not an Amazon freak that buys groceries and house supplies over the internet. I’m just an average Joe that purchases 1 or 2 items a month and that’s it cause I’m a firm believer that food over the mail os kind of awkward... Buying food is an experience and it is kind of cool to go out to the market and COMPARE!!!! Face it, if your buying some kind of Ketchup, do you pick the one right in front of you, that seems someone was playing with the cap and it seems tampered or you take the one on top that looks shinny and spotless !!!Well, that’s what is at risk with buying coffee pods over the internet... You see the picture but you don’t choose the package.... and when you are buying coffee, that’s a significant issue... and as you may see in the pictures I uploaded, the Coffee Joe package that I received, was the one that no one would buy at the Groceries store!!!!A complete waste of time and money... I wanted to throw away everything and forget about even reviewing this thing. However, being the Coffee Lover I am, I wanted to alert you my fellow caffeine junkie, stay away from this product... By far, the worst purchase I had made at Amazon...I don’t know if the package was mishandled at the Postal Service... it could be ... But if you see the foil over the top of the pod, is just cheap!!!!Don’t buy it!!!!!Stay with Nespresso originals coffee pods and look for savings elsewhere...

With the Nespresso patents for its pods running out and competitors jumping into the marketplace I began to research reliable companies from which to buy pods for my new Essenza Mini. Despite loving a good espresso I had for years resisted buying a Nespresso to replace our cumbersome and balky manual machine, because of my disapproval of the cost of the Nespresso pods and the recycling issues related to their extensive use of aluminum. In doing my research I was delighted to find the Cafe Joe brand, to read about its leadership in the Israeli coffee and cafe house market, to learn about their product philosophy, their manufacturing methods, and commitment to service - and to read the many good reviews on coffee expert review sites. I knew that in placing a first order I was testing out a vendor from whom my husband and I would hope to order for years to come. My instincts were proven to be correct, and I can only encourage others to try out this company that operates with tremendous integrity and that supplies a great product. While the capsules vary ever so slightly from the Nespresso brand they work perfectly with my Essenza and they make a perfectly good cup of coffee. We have not yet tried all of their blends or varietals, but have enjoyed all those we have sampled thus far. One tip - a drop of Sabra liqueur, Kahlua, cognac, or something similar adds a nice finish - especially after dinner! My only advice would be to broaden the variety of decaf capsules offered, as most of our dinner guests are only requesting decaf in the evening. I had emailed a couple of questions to the company upon receiving our first order and I was contacted within hours by the CEO personally. He was extremely responsive and helpful, and I feel that we have a friend at the top. If only all on-line vendors provided this depth of personalized customer service. Thank you, Cafe Joe. We highly recommend your product and your service.

Wish I could have enjoyed this Nespresso compatible coffee. All the pods expired October 2019, I ordered and received the pods November 2019.Stale, lack of crema, could not enjoy at all. I’m going back to Delicitaly brand of pods.
