Make sure you get all the right parts
This needs to be paired with specific Kohler parts - Kohler Part GP876851 (you can amazon this too)I recommend you pull up a video to watch a replacement. You may have to use some of the adapters to get it to fit as well. Temperature control is on the other part, not on this piece. It's a fine handle, good for what I needed. The shower handle trim is plastic also - the handle itself is metal.

I was worried I would never find a replacement handle for my 20 year old Kohler cartridge & this one is affordable and comes with several different fittings. Beautiful and works great. Really good pricing.
