Great cutting guide, BUT...
This is a fantastic tool for slicing soap loaves evenly! The sole caution I would recommend to buyers has nothing to do with the quality of the box. However, if you plan to use the cutting tools sold with many loaf molds, with the handle/grip on top of the cutter, be sure to measure!The soap cutter I had planned to use with this box turned out to be incompatible, as the handle hit the top of the cutting slots with the bottom edge of the blade about 1/8” from the bottom of the slot, preventing me from cutting all the way through the loaf. A large kitchen knife worked perfectly, however!As I said, this is no flaw in the box (nor in the cutting tools). Just be sure your equipment is compatible in advance, so you don’t risk damaging your soap in the process of pulling a too-short cutter out of a deep but incomplete cut.

nice cutter!
I'm very pleased with my soap cutter. It is very sturdy and looks like it will last a long time. My only quibble is that the slots are one inch apart. I like to cut my soap in 1 1/4 inch pieces instead of 1 inch slots provided since there is shrinkage when it cures so I used a ruler and measured and marked my loaf of soap and scored it with a knife blad then lined it up with one of the cutting slots, pressing the bar against one of the sides to make sure it would be square and it did great. My Norpro Stainless Steel Scraper/Chopper worked fine but another cutter I had bought before was too short so be sure to get the Norpro blade to use if you are getting this.

Simple and sturdy
I love the design of this. It's simple and functional. Clean up is a breeze. The metal used to make this is thick and sturdy. I would recommend this to anyone making soap at home.

It is a solid cutter, but had packaging issues!!!
My product came packages in white foam that was stuck to my soap cutter.I cannot seem to get it off!!!!! Please be careful!!
