Blackout Curtain Navy Rod Pocket Energy Saving Thermal Insulated 108 Inch Length Pair

Ordered several black out curtains from Amazon over time, these are by far the best and most dark! Really blocked out the light. Use them in my bedroom, which is right next to a blinding bright street light. Totally blocked it out, makes day look like night in my room. Nice material, and can't beat the price.

Huge energy savings and reduced volatility in room temperature. No sunlight penetrated my apartment with huge windows that catches the sun directly for much of the day. This also helped normalize the air temperature in the apartment which could vary easily by in excess of 20 degrees in the course of a day even with climate control on due to the sensor location/layout of the rooms. However it is absolutely not enough to block the sounds of constant honking/engine revving/trucks/workers noise that ruined that apartment because it would constantly happen at all hours of the night/day. Installation of the curtain did have an immediate correlation with reduction of my energy bill by roughly $20 from what was quoted.Would like more clarity regarding non-toxic materials (if there are any in these)/chemical composition including the chemicals used in the manufacturing process. Would obviously drastically prefer provably/documented non-toxic materials.Also the item is somewhat awkwardly sized for that apartment at least. The overlap was limited so some light would slip through gaps invariably created by the force of wind if any windows were opened or even sometimes just people moving about in the apartment.

These are perfect. I have bought a total of 6 sets. They are exactly as described. Definitely help keep the room cool on hot days and warm on cold days. Absolutely help sound proof the room as well. Love the material. I would definitely recommend this product to family and friends.

Needed blackout curtains for 2 windows due to heat and sunlight in summer. Not only were they the right size, they were easy to install, the ties that came with them work great. And they do block out the heat even now, especially the one bedroom I have with the windows facing west and the sun comes thru from about 1230pm till sunset. Even at this time of year, ( March in San Diego County ), I can feel the difference. Cant imagine how it will be in June till October our hottest months !!!!!

These are heavy fabric and lined. They really do look to me like hotel quality. I recommend them if you need more than a little Iight blocking. I was especially glad that they are offered in a solid color so I didn't have to settle on a pattern that clashed with my living room design. And, best of all they are availabe in the longer lengths for cathedral windows.I have west-facing single pane windows so needed good blocking of sun and cold. A budget online site advertises "hotel quality blackouts" for not much less than these thermal curtains but 96 inches is the longest length, they are unlined with no backing, and you must choose from three patterns of mixed colors. What a waste of money! I was at that site for small gift electronics and bought their curtains on impulse, but it's too late to return them. I will push them closer together on the rod and add these on the largest center window for a better effect.These blackout thermals from Amazon's site are perfect and I can still use a set of sheers under them if I want more light on cloudy days.

Wow, they're not joking when they say these curtains provide insulation and light blocking, both of which are exactly what I need in my bedroom. I put these curtains up as soon as I got them and they really do block out about 99% of the light and they also dampen sound a fair amount, which is a great bonus. I suffer from chronic migraine and when I have one, much light at all causes excruciating pain and nausea and though these curtains may not be pretty, they do the job for which they are intended exceptionally well.Note to folks looking to use these curtains for decorative purposes as well as light blocking and insulation: the fabric is somewhat shiny and slick looking, but it feels like it would snag very easily and the inner material feels sort of spongy, a bit like neoprene. I would recommend finding a decorative outer curtain to go with these if you're concerned with the way your window treatments look, but you really can't beat these for light blocking.

I ordered 3 sets of these for my bedroom in Beige - was hoping they would be a little lighter color, however it worked out very well as the Beige is the exact color of my walls. I put ivory sheers behind them on a dual rod. These are very nice drapes, especially for this price!!!! The fabric is quite luxurious, heavy enough to block the light yet they don't crush the rod or need a heavy duty one. I have blackout shades behind these so the combination of the shades and these drapes make for a VERY dark room at night and I have been sleeping like a baby since hanging them. My house has NO shade around it and is brick, therefore it gets quite hot during the day in the bedroom - since hanging these and keeping them closed during the sunniest part of the day, it's obvious they truly help in keeping the temp down and maintains it throughout they day. I highly recommend these - if they came in a true offwhite or ivory color I would be ordering more for my guest room. Great purchase!!!!

These curtains are made of a much better quality material than I thought they would be. I love the fact that they are machine washable in cold water (no bleach). The rod pockets can accommodate a curtain rod that is 1 1/4" in diameter. Two tie backs that are made of the same material are also included and create a beautiful visual in any room. Combine all of this with a great price and they are exactly what I wanted. I got the beige color panels and used them for a balcony window\door (74" long panels) and a large window (63" long panels) in my bedroom They completely block out the light and don't look cheap.If you need to have the panel length adjusted, just buy panels that are longer than you need and take them to a dry cleaners that perfoms alterations.Buy the color you want and you won't be disappointed. They are really nice. You really can't go wrong with these.
