Not surgical steel!
Beware if you have allergies to metal. These are not surgical steel. My daughter had them in for about half of a day and her ears are so red and irritated that she was crying. I would leave less than 1 star if it would allow.

Best earrings ever!
After spending hundreds of dollars over the years on earrings for my three girls, I am so glad we have found these! My eight year old, who has had lots of trouble with allergies to metals, has been wearing these without issue for a couple of weeks (often leaving them in 4-5 days at a time). We were so happy, we quickly bought several more pairs! So pleased with the seller, as well, as the earrings were beautifully packaged and arrived quickly.

Earrings are cute and decent quality. I bought these because my daughter's ears got horribly infected wearing "sensitive" earrings from Claire's, which are allegedly designed for those with new piercings. These butterfly earrings are great, and not too large for an 8 yr old to wear.Only issue is that the backs come off too easily because the post divot at the end is not very pronounced . She sleeps in them and hasn't lost them, but I'd feel more comfortable with a more secure fit.

Color not true to picture
The earrings are still cute, but they are not the vibrant purple that is shown in the photo. They are pale, pale purple, almost clear. So far, my daughter has not had a reaction to them; that's why I bought surgical steel. If she develops a reaction, I'll update my post.

Bought these as a gift for a granddaughter, they are beautifully designed for any young (or older) lady. I like that they are hypoallergenic, as her ears are newly pierced and wanted to make sure there were no allergic reaction to the metal.

Do not buy for continuous use.
After reading all the good reviews, I expected these to be better quality. I bought these to replace my original studs after my ear got infected. I have not had any allergic reactions to them, but several of the little jewels on each earring have fallen off after only a week of daytime and overnight use.

These are not surgical stainless steel. Beware.
I bought these as a Christmas present for my daughter. They are really beautiful but they are not real surgical stainless steel. These caused massive irritation to my daughter's ears within just a few hours of wearing them and she was in a lot of pain. I took them out and put in earrings I am sure of and the issues resolved. Definitely don't get these if you have any sensitivities.
