Good lights
Just the job to light up steps

decent amount of light, solar, auto-on/off. Presently not enough daylight for all night use.
PROS-a decent amount of light, will light up about 1/3 of a standard stair (enough to see where you’re going, I think)-a nice, warm, light-really solid, I’m sure they’d stand being accidentally stood upon/bumped in to a few times.-turn on automatically when it gets dark enough, very convenient.CONS-in gloomy England, when the days are short (it’s February as I write this), these lights don’t generate enough power to the battery to last all night.-they’re not exactly unobtrusive (mine are illuminating my front steps, I’m hoping they won’t abscond).NOTES-instructions on permanent mounting were a little difficult to decipher, but I eventually figured it out. Be aware that once you do put these into position using screws, you won’t be able to remove them (or access the on/off switch)MY STAR RATINGS:1* substandard, mostly cons2** barely acceptable, cons outweigh the pros3*** meets the basic requirements, cons balance the pros4**** good product, pros outweigh the cons5***** exceptional, all (or almost all) pros

Safely illuminating the way.
These do give off a nice amount of light when used to emphasise steps. Im about to have some flagging done and these will then be fixed into place on the 2 steps leading down to the garage. At the moment, in a miserable English winter, the sunlight is giving enough power for them to stay on for a couple of hours after dark. which is just enough to be useful when going into the garage to get food out of the freezer. As the days get brighter I will then expect them to stay on longer as this is typical of most garden LEDs.If they have some longevity then I will be tempted to order some for the 2 front steps leading to my door. I'l update the review should I encounter any longer term issues with them.
