AcuRite Matte White Digital Wireless Fridge and Freezer Thermometer for Home and Restaurants with Alarm and High/Low Temperature Records (00523M)

We bought this after losing the entire contents of the garage fridge twice: first to a short circuit, second to a door not closing all the way. I wanted some way that we would be notified if the garage fridge dipped in temperature again.We have the monitor in the kitchen and the sensors in the fridge in the garage. It communicates great, even from 20 feet away. So far, it's been great. We've had it in for about 2 months and had no issues.

These are working great on the fridge/freezer at work. I suspected we were having power outages over weekends and I was right. These are keeping me from getting sick when my frozen food stash thaws out.

I bought this set for our RV refrigerator. It's a 1992 and sometimes the pilot blows out or it randomly quits working. The temperature monitor is a must to make sure it's working properly.I bought some analog thermometers as well to monitor more than one area. The calibration on this electronic unit is definitely off from the analog thermometers across the range from ambient to freezing. I've calibrated around the 32 degree mark as that's where the operating range of the refrigerator is but when the fridge is off, I can tell it's off by 8-10 degrees F. That's pretty terrible actually and that's why I knocked down the rating from 5 to 4. Everything else about this unit is excellent. The rubber hangers are nice although the suction cup doesn't work in the freezer due to the cold. Calibration is very easy and intiitive. Overall this is exactly what I needed so I'm happy so far.

The alarm for standing GAWKING at the open Refrigerator has trained my Huband... Thank You its beautiful to have for emergency power-outages to know rhe contents in an UPRIGHT freezer are safe. Chest freezers do not lose their cold air checking temps... as cold air sinks. But upright freezers drop all that frigid air with wver door opening. I have the freezers that even have the led temp screens on the door... so why these. The alarm is perfection. The garage freezers are monitored right next to the indoor house fridge/freezer.I have told all my my married friends...So they too can train their Neanderthals!!!

Bought this, so I could watch freezer temps on new and old freezers to make sure there weren't any issues at a quick glance upstairs. Nice be able to look at when at upstairs and freezer is down in the basement. They work great and the cold doesn't seem to effect them.
