Where's the catch?!
I would never take this kind of product as anything more than a gimmick. usually. But one of my very sensible friends recommended the Eco Egg laundry product, which seems to work very well. But she suggested I should try Laundry Washing Ball which might be even better. I trusted the customer reviews. I couldn't be more pleased. Great for the environment. Even better for the pocket.

Very good
Wasn’t sure if these would be any good like most people, the idea of not using a laundry liquid is somewhat alien. However, they are actually great! I have an 8kg washing machine so I use 2 balls most of the time.I do add water softener powder, which I buy in large bags from wilko, but that is because I am in a very hard water area.I also add an Ecover fabric freshener, which may sound like what’s the point, but these balls really do clean your clothes without any detergent.I always take mine out of the washer after use and put them on my window sill to dry.All in all, I will buy again and won’t be buying detergent ever again.

Brilliant washing ball, much better than expensive alternatives
Excellent washing ball, much better than the EcoEgg. With the EcoEgg there were white specs left on all our clothes after washing. After using this ball there is no issue like with the EcoEgg, and after 200 washes the laundry ball is still as effective as after the first wash.

Just throw it in the wash drum and forget tedious detergent measuring.
I use this constantly. Love the ease of not having to measure out washing liquid and conditioner. Clothes come out clean and soft enough. Although stubborn stains would require pre-treatment, as with any detergent. My reason for buying was that I was reacting to the mildest eco products. Made me cough. Not an issue any more. Clothes smell fresh, but unperfumed. Not sure as yet how long this will last but have done a massive amount of washing in the short time I have had it. No, there is no lather, but this is not a detergent. Better imo.

Clean you can feel without suds
Cant explain it but the clothes are cleaner than I have ever had them - they just feel lighter. I still put in nice smelling laundry conditioner so the clothes were just fresher than fresh!

Works well. Love the fact it sterilises the washing without nasty chemicals. Fresh, clean smelling. Definitely recommend

I was sceptical but not any more
I had to buy a new washing machine when my old one broke but I was looking at using liquid washing detergent as the powder gets so messy in the drawer compartment however I found the liquid was much more expensive. I saw an advert for these and decided I would try them but really thought I was wasting my time however I have to say I am more than impressed.I used them with towels on one of the washes and was amazed at how soft they were when air-dried. when using detergent I always had to tumble dry for a while to soften them but this wasn't necessary with these balls.I can't say how long they will last as I have only been using a few days, but I will definitely buy again.I also found, unlike one of the reviews, that there is no unpleasant smell at all when using them
