Order placed April 29, 2021
Steelcase WorkLounge received 6/30/2021 and the wait was worth it. The Steelcase worklounge gives all of the BACK support of a Steelcase Leap or Gesture chair (I also have these products with my back issue's) but with the added advantage a significant CUSHY feel neither of the other chairs offer. Yes, it took 2 months to get , is pricey , and I had to buy sight unseen since I could not find one working through Michigan's Steelcase Distributor's to sit in before I bought it, go figure. Delivery was white glove from Holland Shipping. Craftmanship is what I expected for the price. Only four stars because I was not notified prior to delivery that it was coming and got lucky I was home for the delivery, not sure who's fault that was. I may be ordering another for my spouse soon...

Worth it
Wayy too expensive. But a luxury and a delight. The best things are pricey

More comfortable than the standard Leap Chair
I did not buy this on Amazon, but have had this chair for about 2 weeks. My Steelcase Leap that was 8 years old was pretty worn out. I decided to spoil myself a bit and bought the Steelcase Leap Worklounge. I'm a man, 5'3" and pretty overweight. The chair though fits me better than I expected. The leather is absolutely beautiful. Looks amazing. I would say though the seat as not as cushy as I hoped for. It's comfortable but still pretty firm toward the back. The front half of the seat where the bottoms of your thighs will rest actually has more padding. The one star reduction is because the back of the seating area should have more padding.

High quality in a comfortable durable task chair
My Steelcase worklounge is now 25 years old, so it’s probably not too soon to write a review. It seemed expensive when I bought it in the mid-1990s for around $1500, but I was having trouble with lower back pain, so I was willing to splurge. The price has gone up since then, but for me it’s been worth it. I use the chair daily in my home office, and can sit in it for hours very comfortably. The lower back support is excellent, it has good recline, and I love the high back and headrest because I enjoy leaning back and resting my head from time to time. I got my chair in a fabric upholstery which has turned out to be very durable. There’s a little bit of staining on the armrests, which maybe some time I’ll try to clean up, but otherwise the chair looks and functions almost like new. I didn’t get the ottoman because I use it as a desk chair.
