We purchased this monkey to help keep our 18-month-old daughter entertained on a few long plane flights. We ended up taking a different but similar "buckles" toy instead because this monkey is large and would have taken up a lot of space in the carry-on. But we don't regret the purchase because our daughter enjoys playing with this at home. She especially likes the different buckles and seems to enjoy the challenge of fastening and unfastening them. It has been great for her manual dexterity, which is obviously a good thing -- provided, of course, that she doesn't become so "dexterous" that she can open the baby gates...There's plenty to keep a little one entertained on this monkey. The zipper on the pouch is good practice, though the heart-shaped locket it contains is opened by some tiny keys that are pretty difficult for a young toddler to manipulate. Hopefully as she gets older she will enjoy fiddling with the keys and perhaps even practice tying the laces (which will no doubt be good practice for tying Daddy's shoe laces together one day).

I recently traveled to another country with two toddlers and this awesome Busy Buckles Monkey Backpack had my kiddos entertained for a good while, which made my trip so much easier. They’re both at the stage that they like to buckle and unbuckle stuff so it was perfect. My 4 years old felt cool walking around the airport with this on and the awesome thing about it to is that is has a “leash” so you don’t have to worry if he runs off and gets lost. I recommend this to parents if they plan on traveling soon or just to keep toddlers busy.

I'm giving 4 stars because although my 17month old loves it and enjoys trying to figure the buckles out. The little lock that it comes with broke off . For a 30 dollar toy I just expect a little more quality ;( it was just that tho. The rest of the toy is great. But breaking on first day is disappointing

I purchased this for my son for Easter! Church isn’t always his favorite place so I knew I needed something cool for his Easter basket that would also hold his attention for more than a few minutes. He LOVES it! Monkeys are his favorite animal and this backpack is super soft. He’s 2 so I know as he gets older he will enjoy playing with the buckets more and more and he’s already catching on to counting with us! Highly recommend this product!!!!!

She loves it but cheaply made. She’s used it for 2 round trip flights and some short car trips. The lock is broken and she pulled one of the strings completely out within 5 minutes at the airport on the first trip. Half the buckles are on backward so you have to twist the strap to get them to lock. Should have returned it but was not enough time to order a replacement and served its purpose but very disappointed considering the cost.
