it is NOT double mag pouch
there is NO freaking way to put 2 (TWO) standard 30rnd M4 mags in it. you can only put 1 (ONE). thus, lowering rating for product info misinterpretation.on a good side however, it is very durable single mag pouch which allows (unlike many others) to conveniently place and remove single 30rnd M4 mag very quickly with ability to close pouch from top. Also, because the pouch has lots of space (but not enough for double mags though), it actually can conveniently hold non standard magazines, for example, I managed to place a curved 26 rnd Grendel mag in and out very quickly.so it is a good item really, just do not think that you will be able to put 2 mags in.

Great mag pouches!
I needed a couple of AR magazine pouches and tried 3 of these. All were in very good condition. All had the correct NSN Markings. They WILL hold 2 metal GI 30 round magazines each. It was a little tight inserting the mags at first but there is elastic in the middle that stretches out while pushing the mags in. It helps to pull the bottom of the pouch outward while pushing in the magazines. After that it was easy to do the rest. The mags are held In securely but are easy to get out when needed. I also tried using the pouch to see if two Beretta magazines would fit and they did perfectly. No noise or rattling when you walk with 556 or 9 mm mags. The rear molle straps have green buttons. P Mags will fit but the top won’t pull down far enough to engage the velcro. I included pics of the pouches, one with 2 556 mags and one with two Beretta mags.

I give this 3 stars not that it's bad, but stating that it's an official piece of military equipment I feel is a bit misleading due to the fact that it doesn't have the NSN #s on it (which are 8465-01-525-0606). If you intend to buy this to replace any that you may have lost and your supply at your unit expects a replacement, this will not due, otherwise if you simply want it for what it's intended for, I don't see anything wrong with it.

A little off from the G.I I was issued. Otherwise GREAT!
They blend in enough with my gear that nobody notices, but these must be an older issue because they are not the same size as what I was issued from my unit. This would be 5 stars otherwise. It is a great purchase if you are in a pinch and lose your gear in the field. ( Like me )

Holds 2 GI & many brands of polymer mags.
It is designed to hold 2 metal GI mags and does so just fine. The retention flap on mine were velcro and several brands of polymer mags fit fine including MFT, ProMag, and Troy Battlemags. PMags were still a little too tight though.

Saved his butt.
Bought this when my soldier misplaced/lost most if not all of his gear. This was a better option than a statement of charges on the poor kid. These are items with the NSN listed and are the actual issued pouches used in the Rifleman's Kit as used by the US Army.

Does the job
It does the job and holds two USGI 30-round mags nicely. The pouch is compact which I like. Can't complain for the price. A touch too loud when replacing magazines and not designed for rapid magazine exchange, you have to fiddle a bit to put a second magazine in nonetheless I recommend them.

Great fit
Bought these for my bail out bag for work. In really great shape and well worth the low cost.
