items are sturdy, yes they do have a play since the latch that connects to the door frame is about 1/4" wide. Keep in mind that is wobbles when you step up. Looking at similar items, most are design similar so the wobble would be there. Both feet fit.

This works for my 21 Subaru crosstrek Sport. While it works, I don't feel overly safe i.e. a little play. I used it camping to get my kayak strapped in. I do have a collapse step stool in use as well. A spotter might be ideal

Awesome product! Makes it easier to load Kayaks on top of car or loading car travel pack for trips on top of the car. Very sturdy.

Isn’t as stable as it should be. The rubber foot is more plastic like than rubber, slips a bit on the painted surface of auto.

Sad to say this is trash. The minute I moved off centered this lost its rubber footing and fell off...your better buying another product or just jumping on the existing door lock.

This was very smart in design. My wife hates to have to use a ladder to wash the top of her SUV because she's afraid of falling. This allows her to get up with safety and allows for functionality to be more close to the vehicle without fear of falling. Easy to use and fits perfectly in the door frame.

This product works best when you are able to place both feet on the item. It is safer and easier to do things on the SUVs Carrier. The single step version is a bit awkward and unsafe to say the least. This is it for this type of product and the work you are doing on the carriage.
