This is a new concept (December 2016). The magazine-style story is an abbreviated version of our other tortoise story about a tortoise that magically learns to spin on its shell edge, so fast, it mows grass. (I Thought I Taught A Tortoise, But..), This edition is adapted for a younger age group....4-6 yr olds. The book is a cross between a number puzzle, a story and is meant as an educational aid. ALL THE PAGES ARE PURPOSELY JUMBLED UP. The idea is that your child has to find each page by recognising the page number (1-20). You may show them the number they are searching for on a separate, printed sheet (supplied), with or without a thumbnail picture clue for the page. Some pages are upside down as well as in random order, so your child, for example, will quickly learn to realise that 6 and 9 can look the same. This is a first edition, signed by the author and beautifully illustrated by a local Artist, Ann Kilroy. In the story, Thomas is the slowest runner in his class and has a pet tortoise. When school sports day is announced, including a pet racing event, Thomas is sure that they will end up DOUBLE LOSERS....He decides to practise, and that`s when something magical happens.....But how will it end?
