This little solar charger board is great to use for various projects. I'm always tinkering with things and I have a lot of different projects going on at the same time. The versatility of this board makes it easy to swap between different configurations without having to do a lot of different wiring or buying different boards for each project. I'm just getting into adding solar to things to see what I can do and this board has really been helpful in experimenting.

I put a set of Samsung INR18650-30Q cells in the battery holder. When I first attach the battery pack it shows status LEDs for 30 seconds.The li-ion battery pack is just 3 cells in parallel. It's probably prudent to use protected cells since there's no individual battery management.Attached to a USB C PD supply, it negotiated 9V, but since the pack was basically full only pulled a few watts. The current pack level LED blinks while the ones below it stay solid.I attached my phone. The output was 5V 2.82A. The battery status lights up, but has no other discharge indicator. The board gets noticeably warm. My infrared thermometer saw temps of 50-80C with the hottest part being the components near the 3.7V battery input, and the big central inductor marked 2R2.Has annoying blinking behavior when the battery gets low.The board is packed with connection options. Every input/output has a screw terminal option. You can feed power from the solar input, or the USB C.== Components ==There's a lot of things on this board, but Waveshare already has most things outlined on their Wiki so check that out.Other things are mostly mosfets, and there is a WCH V003F4 (RISC-V microcontroller).A SWDIO (serial wire debug) interface for the microcontroller is exposed as an unpopulated 2-pin header.

I initially reported an issue with the board where the Batteries discharged overnight, rendering the board useless. After extensive testing I found the issue. Once the batteries are fully charged to 4.2V, they no longer discharge overnight. However, if not fully charged (e.g. 3.6V), they discharge to 3.2V overnight without a load.I had to place the batteries in a wall charger, charge them to 4.2V, and then put them in the solar charger to resolve my issue. I am still concerned what will happen if I place a load on the batteries overnight...

En el momento que lo conectas al panel solar la placa empieza a funcionar y si el voltaje es superior a 5v te da dos salidas a 5v y otras dos salidas de 3,2v (como se ve en el vídeo que adjunto).Una de esas salidas de 3,2V es la que viene con una carcasa para cargar hasta 3 pilas de 3,2v. Y se puede colocar una solamente o 2 sin problemas.En la prueba, cargo un power bank a través del conector USB-C durante 2 horas sin coger mucha temperatura. Pero también se podría conectar otro dispositivo en la salida que tiene junto a la de USB-C con los tornillitos de la clema verde que también saca 5VPerfecta por el precio. Adjunto fotos térmicas y de la conexión más simple, que es la conexión al panel solar y el dispositivo que necesitas cargar al USB-C.IMPORTANTE: aunque te equivoques en la polaridad, como me ha pasado a mi en el video, la placa no funciona pero no se estropea, al cambiar la polaridad funciona correctamente. Otros dispositivos, como te equivoques, te quedas sin placa. En este caso, no es así! Perfecto!

Questo modulo di controllo dell'energia a multi-ingresso, nella confezione troviamo anche supporto per la ricarica delle batterie (18650) e a un set di quattro viti (già installato). Il modulo consente la ricarica delle batterie (nel caso specifico, le 18650 non sono incluse) tramite connessioni DC002 o terminali a vite semplici per pannelli solari (da 6V fino a un massimo di 24V) ma anche attraverso la porta Type-C che funge da ingresso e uscita, e dotato di protezione multipla contro sovraccarichi e surriscaldamento.Premetto che sono un appassionato di elettronica e avendo già esperienza con moduli, Arduino, Raspberry Pi e pannelli solari, ho utilizzato questo modulo per alimentare un progetto in corso, una piccola stazione meteo con webcam basata su Raspberry Pi (che non è ancora completata).Durante i primi test, sia con la connessione tramite morsetto che tramite la porta Type-C, non ho riscontrato problemi. Mi e piaciuta la porta Type-C, che può essere utilizzata sia per la ricarica delle batterie sia per l'alimentazione esempio connettendo un pannello solare.L'unico difetto riscontrato è che alcuni componenti non sono allineati perfettamente (come mostrato nella foto), e avrei preferito un diverso tipo di morsetti, ma nulla che possa compromettere il funzionamento del modulo.Per il momento lo valuto positivamente e lo consiglio se state cercando una soluzione per gestire un piccolo pannello solare nel vostro progetto.

Only one is necessary for operation. Three provides longer battery backup at night. Best to match these batteries as individual charging control is not provided.The board documentation is found on the Waveshare website documents and a wiki.All the connections are by screw terminals, which makes experimentation easy.I would recommend this power controller for DIY projects for IoT devices and sensors without hesitation. You can power an Arduino or Raspberry Pi forever with a small solar panel and this board. Just calculate the power requirements and size the panel accordingly.The flexibility in input voltages from the panel is also a good feature.Recommended.

El chip que lleva esta plaquita, según su datasheet, admite desde 4.5V hasta 28V, por eso vale para plaquitas solares de 6, 12 y 24V. Esta placa está diseñada para litio de una sola celda (3.7V), y su tope son 4A, ideal para cargar 3 baterías a la vez (tal que el portapilas que lleva).Gracias a la imagen térmica de un colega reseñador (Igor Amazon), aprovecho para ponerle unos disipadores tanto al CN3791 como al 4485, que es la etapa de salida con mosfet, y que soporta 10 amperiazos.Los disipadores para estas cositas: https://www.amazon.es/gp/product/B09XB5RNDGSi tienes plaquitas de 6V (las típicas para focos de paso, luminarias de jardín, etc), mucho mejor que las pongas en serie, para conseguir 12, 18 o 24V. Mucho mejor funcionará el MPPT, mejor irá en días nublados, y habrá menos pérdidas por caída de tensión.Like ;)
