Just what I was looking for.
It does exactly what I wanted it to do. The main reason I bought it was to hook up a tandem trailer alone. I only have to get "close enough" instead of centered exactly under the hitch. When I start pulling away it gives a noticeable thunk in the cab that it's locked in. The only thing I would like is a little bigger "gathering envelope".I put a Convert A Ball on it so that I can switch between 1 7/8 and 2" balls easily. It's cheaper than buying another ball mount.

Genius Hitch!
This is so cool...It works really great and makes it far easier to hook up my trailer. Ok...-1 STAR because it rusts fast.

Best hitch you will ever own!
Great hitch and clearly a quality made product. This hitch does exactly what the company says it does and they have tons of other accessories too. We are so happy with this hitch. We highly recommend!

Requires maintenance and some improvements
I have been using one for 10 years. It works as advertised. It's very heavy duty, and will last forever.Now-Here are the notes.I use this with my snowmobile trailer, so it sees a LOT of salt. It has been created with high grade high carbon steel, and therefore, will rust. The unit works because the plunger under the key ring goes into a slot in the hitch part, and the large carriage bolt holds the unit to prevent it from swiveling in the back..So..1. The only thing keeping it from getting loose is a small steel spring under the "key ring". If you will be using this in adverse environments, take the hitch apart and coat the spring, the inside of the spring area, and the plunger with a LOT of grease. Smear some grease under the nylon plates to stop rust from developing.2. Replace the grade 5 carriage bolt with a yellow grade 8 5/8 bolt with large grade 8 washers, a split washer, and nyloc nut. If that bolt should break or fall out, the entire thing will start swiveling. Also, coat the bolt with grease (up to the threads).3. For the "horseshoe", add a padlock to prevent it from being stolen or disconnecting.Again, it works great. Just requires periodic maintenance. I also painted mine in POR 15, and it has helped..One other thing..It's a bit longer than a standard hitch..So your chains and wiring might need to be extended a few inches.
