Sony UBPX800 Streaming 4K Ultra HD 3D Hi-Res Audio Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Built-in Blu-ray Player with A 4K HDMI Cable and Remote Control- Black

Like some of the other reviewers, I too received a model UBP-UX80, and not the advertised ubp-x800. With that said, so far, I am very happy with my purchase. First of all, for the price, the build quality is top notch. It has a sturdy metal case VS the standard plastic that is normally used these days. It upscales regular DVD’s and Blu Rays to 4K and the picture and detail are stunning as viewed on my Sony 900e. Some reviewers have complained about getting the sound/decoding settings right. I didn’t have this problem as the instructions are very straightforward. It took me less than 15 minutes to go through menus and get everything setup to my liking. The player has a somewhat sparse but uncluttered streaming interface. It also has a button on the remote that takes you straight to Netflix. Overall, I’m very pleased with both the product and the price paid.

4K BD player arrived in perfect condition, and so far has performed perfectly. Only downsides were: could have been shipped in a second box to increase protection on this rather expensive item, and included HDMI cable was NOT goldplated NeeGO as shown, but a standard HDMI which is not 2.0 and not adequate for UHD.A year later...Freezes occasionally and only disconnecting from and reconnecting to power seems to allow it to function again. No Gracenote connection anymore, per Sony. 24bit192khz playback and SACD only possible with digital coax output.Otherwise, great when it works.

The seller emailed me before the product even arrived letting me know to reach out directly to him if I had any questions or concerns about my recent purchase. The product arrived on time. It was easy to hook up. I enjoyed it that evening watching a new disc Ultra HD 4K "The Greatest Showman". It looked as good as I remembered it in the theaters. I received a follow up email from the seller checking in on me about installation and use of product - wanting to make sure I was satisfied. I am very satisfied at this time. This unit was refurbished and saved me a great deal off the regular cost - it came in its original packaging - had all needed components and instructions. It looks great and the Ultra HD player helped me really enjoy my Sony TV's Ultra HD 4K possibilities. The seller worked hard at immediate open communication and good customer service - The seller seemed legitimately concerned about my satisfaction which alleviated any worries I had about this being a refurbished device.

I'm taking a star off for being SUPER confused about how to get a dolby digital signal out of this thing. Which is basically accomplished by turning OFF all the audio enhancements or gadgets as you go through setup. Controlling well with Simple Control app, except so far not responding to an IP command to power ON. Otherwise, great Blue ray player with a nice picture, well built, and relatively easy to control. The menu at setup needs to be exactly clear on what kind of output this thing is putting out to ensure your stereo receiver or TV can get a surround format that it can decode other than reverting to a stereo signal without surround.

Granddaughter took pictures of the old blue ray player,so this was very easy to install

I love this 4k blu-ray player. Now I'm watching Netflix, you tube, Amazon prime on my big screen. I can watch 4k blu- ray's in awesome color. Controls are easy, it does most of the link up to wifi itself. A little expensive but worth it!

The product came within 2 days of placing my order, on a Saturday none the less. The seller reached out to me immediately after placing the order to ensure everything was how it should be, very much appreciated. The box contained everything it should, and the player is exactly what I wanted. Clear blue-ray picture looks brilliant on my Sony 4k TV, I haven't put a 4k disc in there yet, but I'm sure it'll work fine. Even if it didn't I think that would be more of a knock on Sony than the seller of this product. If you want this Sony UBPX80 box (contains Sony UBPX800 4k player, 4k hdmi cable, remote) then buy it from this seller. You won't be disappointed.

I was looking for such player for a while. It combines all features I needed: 4K, 3D, WiFi with 5G network. Works awesome so far.Seller PHOTOTECH did a great job - item was sent fast, delivered in a perfect condiion. Would definetely recommend this seller and Sony player
