What I like about this product is the results of my pool is crystal clear with no chlorine or salt smell. The water just feels great.What I didn't like was having to drain most of the water from my pool due to high TDS (total dissolved solids) The ionizer controller will not work if you have high TDS. My reading was around 1800. I didn't even know about TDS until I had purchased this product and installed it. So I spent a good month draining and refilling my pool and then working on getting all the chemical levels right. I also had to buy a better chemical tester so I could get accurate readings for PH, ALK, CH, CL and CU (copper). Overall I learned a lot about my pool. I did have a Salt pool and a Chlorine pool before that. But I was never concerned with all the chemicals except for CL and PH mainly.Installation was fairly easy by cutting into my output line and installing the Ionizer. The last 2 years I have used floating ionizers that I had to clean every month. So far, I have only washed this ionizer off to make it look better. Now, I have not touched the ionizer for the last month. It runs well without doing anything to it. It has taken me awhile to get everything adjusted so I didn't have to worry about it.The biggest thing I like is that my wife likes how the water feels and how clear it is. So, I think this investment is worth the money.

I could not keep my pool from filling up with algae, even with extra chlorine. I fought the chlorine dispenser and check valve for years! I bought this along with the ozone generator (get it on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001GILJWS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and it's the best $1k I ever spent! You will not be sorry. I have been using them now for over a year. Even when the chlorine totally fails, there will be algae growing on the pool sides, but the water stays crystal clear. P.S., keep the chlorine check valve from failing by putting a filter on the feed line so tiny bits of stuff don't clog it up.

Used it to replace an ionizer that we had in before. The ionizer that we replaced was over 10 years old. Even though it had a lifetime warranty it wasn’t our lifetime. The company that we purchased The ionizer from did not replace it.

This is the start of year 2 for me with this system. I have an 11,000 gallon pool. I have used very little Chlorine. I run my filter at night with this system running and the water is so clear.

This is the best product I have ever bought have owned 18 x 40 pool for 10 years and fought with algae and keeping chemical levels correct for years spending $100 of dollars sometimes monthly, installed ionizing system with correct chemical levels perfect and still showing algae within 48 hours the pool was clear and beautiful, four weeks later still perfect and hardly added any chemicals, levels are balanced perfectly. I am amazed.

If you are tired of battling algae in your pool then this is for you! Works better than I could have hoped for! Have tried the floating solar ionizer and it did not hold up and ended up breaking within 6 months. Wish I would have purchased this first instead. So far it’s holding up! Time will tell if this holds up to weather and use.

So it takes 6 to 8 weeks to reach the required .3 ppm copper. Also if you get your water from a city source you will get over amp on the controller because the water is too hard. I'm currently dumping water and filling with softened water. But water is clear and no harsh chemical smell or burn.
