From its humble beginnings in 1825 in the tiny English village of Street, Somerset, to a global company that manufactures and markets close to 35 million pairs of shoes a year, Clarks' commitment to comfort, quality, authenticity, and individual style has remained unchanged throughout the centuries.

Awesome comfort and value
After reading the reviews on Amazon and their sister site Zappos, I was sold on the idea of ordering these shoes. Having worn Clarks before, I knew they tend to run wide on my foot, but since I wear thick socks with them I wasn't concerned. Like the other Clarks before, these too are 'generously' sized. Especially roomy at the top of my foot and ankles.I normally wear a size 9.5-10 B in most women's shoes. I like the length of the 10's in these, but could probably wear a 9.5 if I was going to be wearing thin socks. The toe box is a tad narrower than some of the Clark shoes, but nothing that cramps my foot. The shoe is as pictured and very comfortable to walk in. A nice bit of cushion and good flex, out of the box. No real need to break them in.I will be getting a second pair of these to give as a gift. They are a great everyday, casual shoe to go with jeans, chinos or cords. My sister who is a teacher swears by the Ashland Alpine Slip-On Loafer, and now I know why! Really comfortable and well made.

YES YES YES
These are hands down the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I ordered 9.5 M and they fit just as expected....perfect. I love them so much that as soon as I got them out of the box and put them on, I immediately logged on and ordered another pair in dark brown. I have recovered from a broken ankle that still swells at times. It is so great that they have the "stretch" on the buttons and on the insole side too. They do not stretch out of shape either! They spring back to perfect when I take them off after having a swollen foot. This makes it great, cause I do not have to get a seperate pair for "swollen" days. First shoes that I have been able to wear all day and not look like they are orthopedic !!!! Am planning on getting my two girls ( 21 and 24) each a pair for Christmas. One is a nurse and the other is a supervisor at a energy plant. Long days on their feet. So nice to have something comfortable to slip on when they go out to do things with friends and family. They look great with jeans, dress slacks or capri pants!

Comfortable and stylish
These are the first Clark's I have ever bought and I definitely don't regret it. I'm on my feet most of the day, but tennis shoes are not as professional as I would like and I really needed the cushion and arch support. These shoes are very comfortable and just about feel like my tennis shoes. They fit exactly to size (I wear a size 9.5) and although they are slightly on the narrow side, they are not tight (even with thicker socks). I have wide feet general too. Overall, I'm happy about the fit and the comfort and will be looking at other Clark's to add to my collection. Amazon has great prices on them.

Great work shoes!!
I work on an airport ramp and was in desperate need of a non-slip, durable and comfortable work shoe. I searched and searched and finally found this great shoe. I was hesitant about the size that I should order. Normally, I'm a size 8US. My tennis shoes are a size 7US. After debating with myself on the correct size and reading review after review, I decided to go with my normal shoe size in black.Shoes arrive and I love it! There's a tiny space which is great, as slip ons can be a bit challenging to put on initially. Some reviews say that the shoes will stretch, which is fine. The price is great and I love that it is real leather! This order is just as I expected! Take the opportunity now to buy it off of Amazon. It costs between 30 and 40 dollars more on other websites.5 months later....So these shoes are really great! they're lighter than expected and very very comfortable. They did stretch a bit, as some of the other reviews suggested. However, that'll be perfect with thicker socks in winter!! By far the most comfortable whole shoes that I own!

Beautiful, Durable, and Wear Well
I bought these shoes for work, where I am on my feet for long stretches at a time, and often run up and down stairs. I'd gone through three or four pairs of shoes, two of which were much more expensive than these, but each pair failed for lack of traction, lack of support, or inability to withstand wear. However, these have not disappointed! These shoes are beautiful. I wear them with my dress slacks but also with jeans and a T-shirt, and they never look out of place. The sole is thick, sturdy, and has traction, yet because of the way the shoe is designed, the sole does not look clunky. The stitching is flawless and the footbed is comfortable. They are fairly light as well. Unlike most of my shoes, when I get home from work, I'm not in a hurry to take these off.

Is there another brand to buy?
(I bought these for my Mother-In-Law and this is what she had to say) ** I will never buy another brand again. (she couldn't believe we could get them online) These not only fit perfectly, they are comfortable and perfect for all day wear. I wear these every day to work (she is a hospital surgery scheduler) and sometimes I forget I have them on. This is my second pair and I still have not found a shoe that fits me like Clarke's do. They hold up well and are well constructed. They don't rub anywhere on my foot and I really don't feel like I am wearing shoes. I have definitely become a believer in buying thru Amazon. I'm impressed! I will buy from here in the future.** (I will add that I am very happy with the shipping and the great condition they were in when they arrived at my house)

Perfect size, perfect width, very comfortable
My mother-in-law has diabetes and wide feet. She often takes a double wide, but in Clarks, a wide is fine. By comparison, she tried a diabetic shoe by Oasis - a 9.5 2EE - and she couldn't even get it on her foot. The New Balance shoe she tried, a slip resistant cross trainer - fit length and across the instep, but was too tight in the toe box.I ordered about ten pairs of shoes in varying styles and manufacturers. She immediately chose three that fit and she wanted to try on again the next day to see which was her favorite. She emailed the next day to say that these were her favorite. The toe box is roomy, the instep and width perfect and the length true to size. She can wear them with regular socks. She only wore them for an hour in the house to try them, but based on that, she said these were very nice. While these aren't specifically for people with diabetes, she said there were no spots in the shoe that rubbed her or caused any pain.
