Thanks for asking, the inside of the lid is stainless steel with one plastic ring for avoiding slipping, but the plastic is food-grade material and we do have the FDA certifications for our products, so please don't worry about this. How long does the tea can keep hot?

How to clean the kettle spot?

Please feel free to try to boil the water with fresh lemon, and soak about 30mins, use the lemon wipe the incrustation (spot). It's easy to wiped.
