Findus Disappears! (The Adventures of Pettson and Findus)

Sven Nordqvist is an amazing author. The illustrations are phenomenal. You will be hooked after just one book and adventure of the duo. This one is kind of the beginning of the story but it really does not make a difference which book you purchase first. You most likely will end up collecting them all anyways! Every couple weeks I have added to the colllection since I discovered Petson and Findus a few months ago. He is a brilliant story teller amd if you enjoy the goood things in life like simple funny yet witty real life stories turned into funny adventurous blunders and grumpy old men who are loving and not perfect....this is the ideal collection for you Andy your little ones. You will not be disappointed. The kids love Petson and Findus.

Another riveting story about the little cat Findus and his owner/father Pettson. It is a heart warming search for the little cat, who ventures to explore the world outside and all the joys and trepidations that accompany it. It is beautifully and very cleverly illustrated by the author too. Highly recommend for all age groups.

Our family loves this series! The artwork in it is amazing. Such a great book. My children love to look at it, and they love to listen to the story!

We love the Findus books. I think the Findus goes camping is the best so far but we haven't read all of them yet.

CHildren are 3-8 and LOVE these stories. They are longer than most kids stories, but very sweet.

Charming, hilarious and sweet all rolled into one. I love the illustrations and so did my grandchild. Silly kitten, Findus and kindly farmer, Pettson are a delight to look at and read aloud. Highly recommended.

What I like best about Sven Nordqvist's books is the illustrations. I can look at them for hours and find all sorts of humorous elements hidden on the pages. Strange little creatures appear with their clothes hanging on clotheslines or steps up to their tiny gazebos and so on. The stories are delightful, too.

My grandsons aged 6 and 8 years loved this. The antics of these two characters always make them laugh, as do all the odd little creatures hiding in the quirky illustrations, and there is a moral to the tale as well.It is,however, rather similar to an earlier book and for this reason I have only given it 5 stars.
