Birds of the Air

This a nice book about birds. I plan to use it in my homeschool this year with my 7 year daughter. I do plan to skip a couple chapters only because this book is written by an author who was from England, so there is a lot of references to local birds in England. However, there was a lot of information about birds that would apply to birds all over the world. Information about nests, what they eat, where they sleep, birds of prey, their feet, wings, eyes, beaks, etc. I also plan to use a map and find all the places that are mentioned, so I think we'll learn some geography about England too. Also, we read a lot of books that mention some of these local English birds, so I think knowing them a little could be useful.

This is a great book! Pleasant tone/flow and lots of good information on birds in an enjoyable format. I'm reading it with my kids (6 and under) and they keep asking for more! A great find!

just finished reading it love how the kindle books are so less expensive and come direct wirelessly this is a life saver in our homeschool when we come a cross a book we do not have to the kindle it is !

I’m extremely disappointed to get this book in the mail and find out it is actually a different book. It looks like Birds of the Air on the outside, but has a different book printed on the inside. The last few pages is the end of Birds of the Air, but the rest of a book called The Art of War.I needed this for homeschooling, and now won’t have it in time as I need to return and find it somewhere else.

As a researcher myself, I deeply lack of common knowledge although I have read many books.I thought this book interesting, informative and helpful to increase my knowledge. And I will try to read this type of books in the future.

I dont think it was very helpful. We live in the US and dont bave many of these birds laws and things this book includes. If you like poetry books and live in England this is a gkod book but as for us it was very boring.
