Not VERY quiet, but it is light and certainally does oscillate. Conclude. A daytime fan, too loud to use in a quiet sleepy bedroom.

Not Whisper Quiet Desk Fan
Less quiet than expected and fan itself will not stay upright but droops. Otherwise it does everything as stated.
