Inexpensive, Fast and High Value
I use silky cord often for my handmade signs so I bought 4 rolls in preparation for Christmas stock. The price compared to Michael's or A.C. Moore is much lower, (even with coupons through repeated transactions) so I decided to buy 4! For me, It is also hard to find rolls of this stuff at nearby craft stores (especially when I need them), so I went searching online for it at ribbon discount wholesalers. In the end, you pay for shipping if your order isn't more than a certain amount and since I don't use a lot of other supply, this makes the cost per roll item higher. Then you end up having to wait for the standard shipping of 5-10 days which is not always so great for someone who may need to order supply in the middle of a seasons busy rush. I will say that the rolls seemed to arrive at my doorstep even faster than the prime shipping if that is possible. It's as if they flew their own drown to my doorstep! Now isn't that a million dollar idea? The cord is exactly as described and of good quality comparable to what you see in stores, so no trouble there. It has good sheen and a nice rich black color. All in all, the value for this item is extremely high. They are going on my "repeat buy" list. I just hope they keep their supply well stocked at Christmas in case I need to buy replacement cord/different color silky cord last minute for my orders. Oh and as other reviewers have stated, It is POSSIBLE it MIGHT measure 1.5mm, but it is exactly the same thing that you see in store and for my purposes this is not significant enough that I would even take time to measure it or visibly distinguish such a measurement difference. It is NOT noticeable. The Cord is labeled ON THE ROLL as 2mm and I am going with that. :D

Good
This satin cording is wonderful. It is comfortable to wear when used as a necklace or bracelet. Holds a knot well. Very rarely if tied too loose it would come untied. But tied tight it is perfect in every way. Comes quickly when ordered.

Not what it once was!
First time ordering it came & was perfect. Label indicated that it was from Mandala Crafts located in Texas (it's on the left of my first picture). Next order was from China (it's in the middle of my first picture) & no longer had the sticker indicating who made it, but it was still about 100 yards in length & pretty much the same quality. The most recent order is from somebody completely different & the quality is poor & is definitely NOT 100 yards. More like 30 yards - if that. Horrible! You can see the size difference of the spool. It's yet another product on Amazon that isn't what it says it is. Counterfeits & fake products seem to be all that Amazon sells these days. Can someone explain to me why I pay monthly for Prime? (I should note that the Mandala Craft version of this product is extremely nice, my review is not reflective of their great product, but more indicative of how Amazon has allowed counterfeits to infiltrate every aspect of their marketplace.)

The ends singe/seal. Perfect!
This cord is exactly what I hoped it would be when I ordered it. Of major interest to me (and that I did not find mentioned in any other reviews) is that the ends can be singe/sealed (if you hold the end to a lighter or flame it will melt a tiny ball at the end of the cord). It would take a lot more time (and an additional product) to construct the necklaces I'm making if I had to seal the ends.I never would have thought of measuring the thickness of the cord except that it is mentioned in some other reviews so I did. Mine sure looks like 2 mm to me. It is without doubt fatter than 1/16" (1.58 mm). Unless your application uses machinery or is really exacting I think you'd be happy with this cord.

Great cord for hobby and craft projects!
Ordered this cord to make some lanyards for several of my knives for which standard paranoid was just too large and bulky. The cord is perfect for lanyards on smaller items. Plenty strong. Nice appearance of finished projects. The smaller diameter also means that a modest size lanyard as on this knife, can easily contain 6 ft. of usable cordage if needed. Compare to the standard paranoid lanyard on my keychain. Any project you can find for woven paranoid, can be done with equal ease using this cordage. Also, much cheaper. This 100-yard spool will last a long time.

Great Value and Product
This cording is perfect for necklace making! I love how soft it feels. There is alot on the spool so there is no chance of running out too soon. The price was the best I found online from any retailer. The best part is that I received it in 2 days with my Prime membership. I highly recommend this item.

Not as advertised!!! DO NOT BUY!
It seems like some people are getting what is actually advertised in this listing and some are definitely NOT. I unfortunately, was one of the NOT. The crazy thing is that I ordered the same listing a year ago and was delighted with the quality and quantity of the spool I received. And as there is no way for me to return the item I got this year - which is what I want to do - I am going to warn all of you not to purchase this listing. As you can see in the photos I've posted, the spool I got was HALF the size of the spool I got by ordering the same item last year (NOTE: the spool in the photo is mostly used up. Which is why I was buying more. When it was new, it filled out the spool to the edges and was definitely 100 yards). The cord itself was also thinner than the cord I got last year, which was also marked as 2mm (as you can see in the second photo). In addition to being thinner, the cord was also poorer quality and it seems to have more fraying bits and comes apart more when you cut it. I am extremely disappointed in this cord and really mad that I have to spend even more money to correct this problem. Save yourself the gamble and just don't buy from this listing.

Not just for jewelry making
I am making some costumes for the Ren fair and needed something that could pass for leather for laces on various parts of the costumes. It needed to be tough enough to withstand pulling yet small enough to pass through 5/32 holes and not cut into the skin on bracers and leg leathers. This fit the bill nicely and was much less expensive than leather would have been. Unless you were to touch it you could not tell that it isn't leather. There's so much of it that I will be able to complete many costumes.
