Gold Miner 1V_TGP-001 Spiral Panning Machine

Having a similar product a few years back and I was looking forward to trying the Gold Miner. I had seen the Gold Miner Unit on a prospecting trip and after going to the product website I decided to order one. I had saved concentrate from a couple trips to the desert to use upon receipt of the unit and couldn't wait to open the package from Amazon. The unit set up easily and the advertised features were very apparent. The Gold Miner worked as advertised and it was very exciting to see the little specks of gold appear in the catch cup. I have taken gold from the same area for many years and had a good idea of how much fine gold I would get from the concentrate I was going through. I am happy to report that I found far more gold than I could have imagined. Having panned out the black sand for many years I felt I was pretty good at getting all the gold from the concentrate but now know that I have missed a lot of fine gold that was hiding in the black sand. I look forward to going back to the desert and getting more concentrate as I know I will have more gold for the vial and there might even be a picker or two. Thank you Gold Miner.

Does everything it's suppose to do. Some parts could be better but as long as it delivers. I don't have photo but I put it together. You may need to upgrade some parts but it works.

The build quality of this product is outstanding. If I could of given it more stars I would. I originally bought a desert fox because of the name and reputation but was disappointed by the mass production and poor workmanship. The desert fox would not even function without modification also the main drive motor assembly was the mechanism was warped. I returned the desert fox garbage. Upon receiving the gold miner 1v tgp 001 I was immediately impressed with the build quality and craftsmanship. the unit appeared to be hand built and attention to detail. I would highly recommend this over the desert fox. Also I reran tailings from the desert fox and was able to recover even more gold. Things I like about the gold miner is the Micro adjuster. You can set it and forget it unlike Desert box which always seems to be changing angles if you don't pay attention all the time. The actual spiral wheel is made of a much better Quality plastic then the competitor and is bigger. The PVC framing is very solid and I do not have to worry about it moving. I also like the water control valve is made of metal instead of plastic like the desert fox's valve assembly is. Everything about the gold miner is of a much better quality. Cannot say enough about this product for $199 you cannot go wrong. BUY IT!!

Excellent machine perfection on delivery from amazon

This is quite an excellent product and at great price. It is easy to set up and run. I have found the best capture rates are to feed slowly and further classify my cons. I classify down to a number 10 (in my area gold is almost always small) and run that through my sluice. When I get home, I classify a bit more with a simple kitchen strainer to get out the small pebbles and pan that separately to look for chunkier gold. I run the remaining cons through the wheel slowly 2-3 times. After 2-3 times you can be assured that you have captured as much as possible. It takes a bit of playing to figure out the right angle but the guide that is included helps. This is a great device to save tons of time panning all of your cons down.

Works well. 4 stars due to pump clogging up. Have to turn it off and let the water backflow to flush the sock out. Otherwise works great. Once in a while remove cap on spray bar to flush it out also. Since I only use this in my garage, I switched out the pump to a 480gpm pond pump. It has an internal filter, had to turn the flow down. Going back through my tailings, I am recovering gold that it was not catching previously. 2nd picture is going through about 1/3 5 gal bucket of tailings.

This product definitely has a homemade feel to it, and I actually appreciate that. There is a lot of homemade ingenuity that went into this product and much thought, and most importantly, it really works. I'm still working on dialing in the speed and angle, but it seems like it's catching all of the gold. I tested it out with paydirt purchased from Amazon, and it definitely caught quite a bit of fine gold and small pickers. I re-panned the leftover tailings, and I was not able to find anything with a manual pan. Cool product, and it appears to be made in the USA.

I really was let down by this machine. I thought it would do much better than it did, much it is hard to regulate water flow and to get it perfect. You definitely can't just toss crap into this and think its gonna magically pan it for you. I found the blue bowl to be MUCH BETTER and do a much better job at separating fine gold and dust much better. I screened the material for both the wheel and the bowl. I preferred the bowl overwhelmingly.
