Great for those with Acid Reflux
I've always been a coffee drinker for as long as I remember. My morning cup is super important to me and I need good flavor. Over the past 6+ months I had developed acid reflux after drinking coffee. I know this because when I eliminated coffee for one week I was fine. That's when I knew I needed low acid coffee. I tried a few, and as expected the flavor was terrible; weak with a burnt or sour aftertaste. I then tried Lucy Jo's and was so happy!!! I could still enjoy coffee without sacrificing taste and strength and still feel great afterwards. It's a bit pricier than my store bought Starbucks, but the good far outweighs the bad. The only reason I gave it 4 out 5 stars is because there isn't as much in the bag as my store bought coffee. Less quantity at a higher price. Other than that, I've tried Lucy Jo's other dark blends and they are delicious. Very Very Very happy with this product.

Gentle on the stomach
I got this coffee since i have acid issues for many years and wanted to enjoy coffee without having to worry about setting off my acids still. I'm having a good experience with this one since I like French roast. It's been very gentle on the stomach with no issues for me. I don't know what the caffeine level is in a serving but it seems much lower which is fine for me. I would say the grounds are about a medium. About average for coffee. Not too fine like you might see with some espressos for example . The taste is a bit bold and a lot darker than some other french roasts you're probably used to but can be lightened up with your favorite creamer etc. can recommend for anyone that needs low acid blends

You may not want to change.
The quality and blend makes a satisfying cup of coffee. No problems with acid reflux. Been ordering for years approximately once a week. My picture should be hanging at the roastery.

Not for gerd sufferers
I dont know, I kept getting heartburn. So I went back to simply smooth. It doesnt taste as good but it actually doesnt upset my stomach so im not sure if this is truly gentle It smelled good and tasted good but I dont think its for people with severe stomach pain like me

Smooth tasting low acid coffee.
Great tasting low acid coffee. Quite expensive, but probably worth it if acidic coffee bothers you. I buy it for my daughter who has stomach issues.

The favorite coffee brand in our household
We love coffee. I drink it black, first thing in the morning. However, the acidity in other brands can sometimes be troubling. We started buying Lucy Jo's coffee and have enjoyed every flavor. This is no exception. It has a rich, satisfying taste and aroma. I'm not very good with the nuances of whether it contains "hints of chocolate", but it's delicious. Lucy Jo's is now our "goto" brand, for a low acid coffee that doesn't sacrifice flavor.
