I've always been wary of a Chinese matcha but I love the other teas from their partner company, Hugo Tea. There is a subtle taste difference from the Japanese matcha teas I've tried but that is to be expected. (Different terroir means different flavor just like wine.) I think it was more nutty than grassy in flavor. I really enjoyed it in my matcha latte!

My husband and I own and operate a small coffee shop and we LOVE this matcha! We have been familiar with the company for a while and love the care that they put into all of their products; this matcha is no exception. The Master Matcha company is always taking trips to the tea farms to seek out the highest quality tea and to get to know the farmers that grow it (it's so easy to support people who are sourcing their products ethically). :) The matcha is shockingly bright green in comparison with any other matcha I have tested for use in our coffee shop. Use in baked goods (matcha white chocolate chip cookies, anyone?) or as a beverage (iced matcha lattes, hot matcha lattes, matcha frappes, etc) you WILL NOT be disappointed. There is no bitterness here, as are in some other matcha. Really, I cannot speak highly enough about the Master Matcha company. This will definitely be the only matcha we use from here on out.

For baking, the shade of green of this culinary grade Matcha from China is dark and too dull and not as bright and green as those from Japan. It will definitely affect the presentation of you bake products.

I recently purchased my first package of Master Matcha. There are other matcha's for sale, but I picked this one for its quality and purity. It's grown on a single farm, it's tested regularly, and certified organic. I've been putting Master Matcha in my morning shake for an antioxidant kick-start to my busy day. I found it to be just perfect, exactly as expected and exactly as stated on the package. If I had one wish, it would be for Master Matcha to sell it in a larger package.

I bought this to make some green tea ice cream. Delivered on time, fresh and flavorful. BTW it did have a great flavor for the ice cream.

Very strong matcha flavor! I was using a matcha latte mix but i decided to try plain matcha powder and love it! Small package but serving size is about a tsp which will make quite a few servings. I heat up a little hot water and mix it in, then add coconut milk. It makes a really refreshing drink when chilled. Definitely would buy again.

I gifted my mom the master matcha to add to her morning smoothie. She has been going through chemotherapy for the last year and a half and I wanted her to get more antioxidants into her daily routine. She has really enjoyed the addition to her ginger, turmeric, black pepper and cinnamon smoothie. So happy that you have added matcha to our morning ritual.
