I had a really tough time finding a lap desk that would fit my 16.5" wide laptop. I need a mouse to do my work so I needed the extra width to accommodate both the laptop and enough room to move the mouse. It's comfortable to use directly on my lap, across the arms of a reclining chair, or even on crisscrossed legs.The ventilation holes are a nice addition to keep my laptop cool. It's extremely sturdy, able to hold my 7.5lb laptop and mouse without a problem. It's very convenient to be able to carry my workstation around the house.I love this desk and definitely recommend it!

It's large, and easily holds my 15'7" laptop. Venting kind of helps but honestly just get a cooling pad to assist with this.A lot of people reported that splintering can happen, but simply run a damp rag over the entire thing to catch any excess wood. You can also sand it if you're extra paranoid.Another issue is the mousepad. It's a freaking joke. Just add your own mousepad to this and just enjoy that instead. This mouse area can't reliably keep the mouse movements flexible simply because it stops a lightweight mouse dead in it's tracks if it hits the left or right too much. That is aggravating as hell.So yeah, it has some work that needs to be done, but after that's done? I'd say this is one of the best in terms of durability. Doesn't feel like anything other than an axe could take it out.

If you're serious about working from home, this is the ultimate lap desk.Those who complain about no padding have no credibility (Just look at the pictures!)That being said, this actually makes working with a laptop a lot more comfortable when sitting on the couch. If you have a gaming laptop, you will not burn up your lap with hot GPU temperatures, you will not block the laptop's ventilation and you'll be able to comfortably be able to play games with a mouse!For lefties who are used to using the mouse with their right hand, this desk really takes productivity to the next level - With this setup, I can basically watch online classes, use a mouse to navigate with my right hand while taking notes with my left hand, all while sitting on a nice comfortable chair in the living room.One more thing, the build quality is the best out there period (I've seen, and returned inferior, cheaper priced lap desks before purchasing this one) And I should emphasize that the walnut finish option is amazing. The main generic top view picture on this page does not do the real thing justice at all. I included some pictures that I hope will help.

Don't let the lack of padding deter you... I've had other lap desks in the past with padding, and they feel fantastic for a little while, but after 20-30 minutes, they begin to make your legs sweat. Foam is an excellent insulator and laptops can run hot... It's not a good combination for me anyhow.I use an iPad air in the right slot, and it's good for reading or watching videos. Albeit, only in vertical orientation. It's stable enough that I don't worry about it flipping over as I navigate.

If you're laptop doesn't have 1/16" or greater feet, it'll get high centered on the center of the desk. Makes for annoying rocking around if your chilling in bed.

Love this LapDesk! It's wide enough that it stretches across the width of my recliner, but it's not too heavy to be cumbersome. I can have my laptop, trackball, and ipad pro 12.9 all accessible at once with this product. It's a beautiful quality of wood.

The product is very sturdy and well made. I thoroughly enjoy the space that it provides for working on the sofa or a chair with arms. I'm even currently sitting on a rocking chair with the product set between the arms, and I am comfortably able to work on my laptop while staring at the ocean (when I should be working). Highly recommend and worth the money.
