Slipper Boots (Easy Weekend Crochet)

I'm a little disappointed. I just got the book and was excited to get started on some slippers. Then as I looked at the patterns I noticed they are all made with bulky (5) yarn. I hadn't noticed that when I bought the book. I will still try to make them when I can get out to get an 'L' hook and bulky yarn.

The description says 58 pages. I’ve learned to look because I’ve paid a hefty price for a book have it be more a pamphlet. This says 58 pages 13 are advertising for her other books and one blank. I haven’t tried the patterns yet but likely won’t be buying more of her books. Deceive me once shame on me you......

I made the Cozy Bobble Boots and love them! These patterns work up so quickly (and I love the Charisma Big yarn from Michaels they called for). I'm not a fan of standing in crocheted socks or slippers so I slipped in some Teva insoles I had from a pr of boots I'd replaced the insoles in. You could use any insole, Dr. Scholl's or even flip flop soles, but my ideal would be Birkenstock insoles. They're comfy and warm and pretty!

Love the patterns in this book easy to follow. I do recommend if you are buying this book that you do you have experience in crocheting. But for the stitches you’re not aware of you can always look up those on YouTube. For the extra small children patterns they actually fit about a three month old newborn. I have been having fun making slippers/booties for my granddaughter.

LOVE these boots! Super cute and they work up VERY quickly and easily! I was amazed by how easy they were to crochet - no "forming" needed, they take shape as you crochet. Each boot took me a couple of hours to make, so I spent about 4 hours on my first pair - and they were so much FUN to do!!!! I LOVE THEM!!!!!!

I have to wait to buy the yarn, but plan on making slippers, by mid-Jan! They seem easy enough to make! Shouldn’t be a problem!
