The 2D is good, the 3D version is downright creepy. Love them. I'm sure they are not real amber or Jurassic mosquitoes but they look great to me.

Son is a big dino fan, he loves this he asks about 95 times a day now if we can extract the dino DNA from this so we can have dinos again

It is not a 3D realistic looking mosquito. It is very 2D. Other than that, the quality is fine and it's heavy enough to be an adequate desktop paperweight.

Bought it for a friend's jurassic park jeep to put on the gear shifter, he loved it

Such a big fat disappointment. It’s not a real bug and you can’t see it on all sides, it disappears at most angles because it’s a hologram.

I got the 2D version by mistake, so it is just a 2d paper like image suspended in amber colored plastic, looks OK from front, but I wish I was paying more attention and got the 3D version which has a 3d insect model in the plastic instead. Would give a higher review if the price was lower for the 2D version, but it is only a couple of bucks less than the 3D. Still is good looking trinket but way too much money at that price for the 2D, should be no more than $8.00
