Not all HDMI cables are made equal, even if they are both advertised as HDMI 2.0 4k 60hz
Right now I'm over the moon. For a long time I've believed that when it comes to digital cabling it either works or it doesn't. "It's digital, it's just 0 or 1s, how can that go wrong?".However, having realised this to not always be the case(I had some "slightly incapable" USB cabling causing me problems with a crypto-currency mining rig a couple of years ago, the solution was to buy "higher quality" more expensive USB cables), I hoped that this may also be the case with HDMI cables and the problem I was experiencing with my PC, AMP and TV setup.I had my PC with nVidia 1080ti outputting 4k 60hz to my Onkyo AMP and then to my Hisense 50" 4k TV which is somewhat unofficially HDR capable. Naturally a lot of bandwidth is required to reliably send a 4k 60hz picture. But the choice of colour space(RGB vs YCbCr 4:4:4 vs YCbCr 4:2:2 vs YCbCr 4:2:0) also makes quite a difference, and herein lies my issue.By default the PC wanted to output 4:2:0, which if you do your research you'll know provides the lowest quality output, especially for highly contrasting text and background, not a great thing to have when using a PC. I really really wanted to use RGB or 4:4:4 which would provide me the highest quality output, but unfortunately, every time I set my graphic card's output to this setting I would get white speckles flashing on the screen and screen flickering occasionally. Basically, it didn't work. I tried lots of things, but nothing fixed it. I even considered it to be a possible TV issue.I then thought back to my USB cabling issue from two years ago, and decided to take a shot at some higher quality HDMI cables to replace the Amazon basics(I know, i know), but HDMI 2.0 rated, so it should have damn well worked!?!?!?I bought 1 of these Fastrider 3m cables to go from the PC to my amp and a Fastrider 1m cable to go from the amp to the TV. I've now set the colour space to YCbCr 4:4:4 and all of them problems have gone. I've just wrote this whole review without a hint of picture artifacting or flickering. To summarise, while for the most part digital cabling should either just work or not, it seems when you are pushing the envelope(4k 60hz YCbCr 4:4:4) the bandwidth requirements are just too high for RELIABLE transmission with just any cable. Yes, Amazon Basics HDMI 2.0 cables will be suffice for 95% of the public. But for me, they just did not work the way I wanted them too. This Fastrider HDMI cable did, and it really isn't that expensive either, well worth the money for what it has given me.

Great quality cables
I am very impressed with this cable. I thought I had a good quality hdmi cable to begin with until I plugged this in and turned on my tv, it has improved the picture clarity & quality! Very impressed. It is on the pricy side but I feel it's worth it for the strong exterior and picture improving quality. I also love how they have lots of different lengths to choose from as well as colours. I got 1x red 1m, 1x blue 1m and 1x green 5m. They are fab and def recommend the extra money for them! Plus a 3 year warranty on each product!

Poor quality
Installed/plugged cable into PS4 and TV as soon as I received the item. Went to move our TV and PS4 and unplugged the cable and the gold connector separated from the cable and I had to remove it from my PS4 with pliers and now the “high quality” cable is obsolete and in the rubbish bin.

Definitely pay extra for a better cable
Not transferring the data as advertised, could only pass 4K 30hz and colours as not as bright as it should be. Definitely pay extra for a better cable
