Fun, simpler than Zumba
Good also for mature people / total beginners, and people who use indoor walking DVDs (like Leslie Sansone's). This is a fun alternative to Zumba, a bit slower and easier. It's like walking with a bit more energy. The music is great and upbeat, including some well known pop songs. I wish there was an option for "Music Only" (there isn't), because the trainers constant "ooh, ha" etc. gets on my nerves after a while. The first DVD is all about teaching the simple steps, based on letters of the alphabet (L, C, number 1 and some variations of it), therefore it is easy to learn these simple combinations and put them to practice in the further 3 workouts (45 cardio, 15 quick cardio and 2 x 20 min toning using the hand weights). One can make this more advanced by adding small jumps instead of just heal reaises and moving the arms with more energy. Good set!

Disappointing
Not as much fun or as energetic as Zumba, I fear it's going to get boring quite quickly, there is very little difference between the Learn It, Remix and Combo sections. The instructor is extremely irritating, making constant noises (haa etc). The music is good but in order to hear it at a reasonable level, the talking is unbearably loud. I mute the sound and put my own music on and follow the hand signals and the diagrams at the bottom of the screen, which are very useful. The discs are presented in a cardboard wallet, which I think will tear as it's quite tricky to get the discs out without putting your fingers all over them.I was looking forward to using the Common Sense Meal Plan, but I would give this 1 star, it's no use whatsoever, the portion sizes don't make any sense at all eg breakfast Day 1; 1 orange, 240g cereal, 240ml milk, 240g strawberries and 1 slice of toast with a teaspoon of jam. While dinner on the 3rd day recommends 480g pasta.

Not for you if you have attended a class!
I love Bolwa, having attended classes at a gym, this is a bit disappointing. You only do a few letters with a couple of variations or 'flava' but in a class you do at least 12 different moves in any combination to keep it lively and interesting.A good intro to Bokwa though.
