Silverlite7w LED PL Bulb GU24 Base,18w CFL Equivalent,700LM,Warm White(3000k),120-277V,Horizontal Recessed,180°Rotatable,UL Listed

When my Mini CFL bulb blew out, I ordered these because I have a very narrow light fixture - see attached pics - that would not take a larger diameter bulb AND had the weird GU24 base connectors.I had been wanting to replace those CFL's for the last 3 years but we hadn't found a bulb that could fit our narrow light fixture.Wanting to go LED, I was fortunate to stumble upon these while searching high & low for a narrow GU24 base LED bulb.It's only been one night but these are highlighted by:1) VERY bright output @ 700 Lumen version - even though it's listed output is less than the old regular CFL.2) Perfect color for my taste @ 3K version because I like the less yellow color.3) Multiple position setting using the twistable 180° adjuster - since the bulb is actually lit only on one side.4) Made for damp conditions like the bathroomI attached 2 pictures : - one focusing on the directional output of the bulb (darker pic) - I adjusted the bulb to face away from the wall- one showing how much light is outputted - even with bulb facing away from wall - you can see how much it lit up the room[Summary] I love that these bulbs were only $~10/ea. & they should theoretically last a lifetime even in a room such as my bathroom.Backed by a 5 years warranty, I hope these last so long I don't have to use that policy.

Nice bright light but it has a brief delay before coming on, which I still find annoying after several weeks of usr.

I wanted a brighter lens for my Humanscale desk lamp. This bulb had the light color that works well for reading or illuminating my workspace. I love how the head pivots so I can easily direct the light exactly where I need it to go. The back of the light does get a little warm as it dissipates heat but I do not feel any of the heat directed downward.

Bulb is bright, and it's very handy that it rotates along the base.Unfortunately, after trying 3 of these bulbs in my bathroom light fixture, we determined that the bulb was not "compatible" with the fixture. When you turn the light switch on, it can take just a little over a second for the bulb to light up. This can be particularly annoying.Seller was very helpful to the point of sending additional bulbs free of charge, but could not resolve my issue before the return period expired.

i had to buy a gu24 bulb and glad i chose this LED instead of a fluorescent bulb. It fits great and once installed and illuminated you can rotate the bulb itself 180degrees. The only issue i have is that it is very very bright, so bright that it not really “warm” glow. TIp: measure the length and make sure it really physically fits.

The pictures don't really do them justice. The base rotates. The bulb is metal fins on one side and bar lighting on the opposing side. This funnels all the light in one direction. These are GU24 base bulbs, which means they do not have a ballast in the socket to worry about, and can immediately replace CFL (Cold Flourescent Light) mercury bulbs. They do take a "full" two seconds to switch on after flipping the light switch. They come in 5 watt to replace 13 watt CFL and 7 watt to replace larger. Specifically I got the 5 watt, 2700 Kelvin (Soft Warm Light) bulbs for that "golden hour" in the Library effect near Sunset. Instead of the 3000K greenish color that makes me feel ill to look at my skin, or the 5000K bluish color that makes it seem all that much hotter in the middle of a hot Summer night. I wish they offered the 2700 Kelvin in 7 watt, they do make them, but do not offer them in the Amazon online store. They must be very popular. These fit in a tight hub like frosted glass fixture under a ceiling fan. The hub was basically sealed with a polished aluminum top which doesn't vent much heat. These bulbs do not get hot to the touch.. but the heat there is does flow upwards and into the fans lower metal base place on top of the frosted lighting hub. But they are far cooler than either the original CFLs or any Incandescent bulb.

Using this in one of those "boob" light fixtures. You know the ones I mean, flush with the ceiling with a knob on the bottom, and don't try to tell me you haven't thought of that as well!Anyway, one reason I don't like those fixtures is because about half the light, the half that goes up, is wasted. So I was super excited to find these. I got the 7W version to replace 13 W compact fluorescent, and they are plenty bright! Decent but not excellent light quality.They do have a delay of about half a second to turn on. Really only noticeable if you have other bulbs in the same fixture; with all three bulbs this time, all three come on at basically the same time, so they delay isn't a problem.Only word of warning is that for the GU24 base, the bulbs can be inserted two different ways. So if you install it one way and it can't rotate the direction you wont, DON'T WORRY! Just remove the bulb from the socket, rotate it 180 degrees, and re-insert. It should now be able to aim where you want.

Worked perfectly in a bathroom exhaust fan, heater & light fixture that was originally equipped with a GU24 base 23Watt CFL. No warm up time after the quarter second lag to turn on, then immediate full lumen output even in cold weather. Great replacement for an outdoor bathroom fixture. Like a lot of LED bulbs there is a short but noticeable lag between switch on and the bulb striking, I found this lag to be a lot less aggravating than the warm up period for the fluorescent bulb.
